L.A. cant even support an NFL franchise let alone two MLS teams with one using the Chivas name. Hope they can turn it around, if not it would be nice if Chivas came to Phoenix.

I would rather have a home grown team. If it comes to nothing or having a team moved here I will take the transplanted team. Any new news on MLS expansion. I know the SOBs are getting a lot of press latley.

As I read the buzz, it looks like the next 2 teams will come from St. Louis, Seattle and/or Philadelphia.

The St. Louis group got approval from the Collinsville city council for their proposed stadium complex. There is lots of noise in the Philly area about a proposed stadium in Chester and three 'serious' groups are in play in Seattle.

Has anyone seen the rendering of Qwest Field in Seattle, with huge tarpaulins enclosing the upper deck, thereby hiding many of the 65,000 seats? Think U of P stadium and you don't need an extra $120 million for a SSS stadium. Of course, in the Valley there will be a unique(to MLS) operating expense in the form of air conditioning.
