It is true that Barca lost this cup, but..

Look at the Barca now, after getting the new amazing players like Henry, for example, this team became like a MONSTER.

This monster will beat all team against it and will win the LA Liga and UEFA CS.

Barca never dies and days will prove what i'm saying.

Any way, congratulations for this win and good luck for both our teams .. :)

Is that why the need the referee's help to defeat Athletic? Or the reason they drew against Racing and Osasuna?

Lyon will destroy them when they face each other, after that Sevilla and Zaragoza.

What You don't know is that i'm a fan for LYON too and really sad that they are both in the same group .. :(

But i think, they will both raise from their group with BARCA first then comes LYON after.

The problem this year at the start of the LIGA is that Richard is having many important cards in his hands, and after getting Henry to the team, he should thinks a lot before choosing who will represent the front-line (attack) for the team.

And for the last match with OSASONA, of course you know that both S.Eto and Messi were injured (and they are basic players in the team).

so, he was forced to play with Dos Santos who is pretty new with the team.

Any way, the league is still at the beginning, and the win will be for who will last strong till the end.

    And thanks for the feedback.

Well buddy! They have been thinking they are a "monster" for a long time, yet they can be beaten and my team proved that. They got there thinking it was just gonna be fun but we are from Brasil so they should have known better than that. The cup is where it belongs. In Brasil and away from barcelona.

Of course they can be beaten. Liverpool did it too. What's the point in this thread?

The point is to provide yet another thread for Internacional (some diddy club) fanboys to wank over a one-off game that is insignificant to European clubs. Pretty pathetic that they are still living off such a 'match' but at least SoccerScout is not responsible for this one.

It's clearly insignificant to Europe as a whole. Of course, you already knew that so quite why you are pretending to be stupid is beyond me. It's not an attack on South America or 'Euro bias' but simply the truth. The 'competition' is insignificant and an unwanted distraction. If South American's feel differently then that is their decision but don't try to ignorantly pretend that Europe cares.

    1. Congratulations on showing Ronaldinho being upset. What a minute, he's from South American, isn't he? Of course. I remember him desperately trying to get his team mates to take the competition seriously but failing. I wonder why that is?

    2. Without Scotland there would be no 'beautiful game'. Not only did we create what is fundamentally played today but we took it to the world, particularly South America.

excuses, excuses, excuses! I don't know why you a dude from scotland tries to protect barcelona's pride so bad! Are you kissing their a$$ also? Enough with this "not taking seriously", are you telling me that they enter the field not willing to win? You are stupid at best then.

    [/QUOTE]

    ahahahaa

100% of the first clubs in Brasil were started by ENGLISH people not a single one by a scot, you don't know much do you? And the "beautiful game" was started in Brasil, before that is was just "game". Scotland took it to the world??ahahahahahaah dream on! and yet scotland sucks so bad, tell me why?

if it was clearly insignificant they wouldnt show up with their top team

how much could Fifa possibly fine them that the champions of europe couldnt afford if they truly didnt care

I don't care about Barcelona at all. All I am doing is pointing out the fact that European clubs do not care about the competition. Whether you like that fact or not is totally irrelevant. Grow up and deal with it.

There is a big difference between the typical long-ball shite that Charles Miller brought back from England and the passing game that Archie McLean brought from Scotland. It's a very important distinction to make and that is before we consider the cross between football and rugby that England originally played before the Scots showed them how it was done and in turn created the modern game. Being 14th in the world rankings (however bad they might be) and leading a group containing Italy, France and Ukraine proves our game does not 'suck'. If you wish to debate why our game in general had declined then prepare for a long discussion on topics including population size, available pool of players, coaching style, foreign players, money in the game, the Playstation generation, etc. All topics you no doubt know little about.

Teams have tried to take weakened squads previously but FIFA always threatened action. There is little point in risking a fine or other action. Besides, none of this alters the fundamental point that the tournament is irrelevant to Europe. You know this to be a fact so why the argument?

because frankly it sounds like an excuse...say we dont care that way if we lose we covered our asses because we didnt care

your telling me it has been irrelevant from day one, back in the home and away format..or did it turn irrelevant once it started being held in Japan

Do a search, anywhere. Countless European Champions have declined to participate previously (even some South American teams have done similar) and there have been several incidents when scheduling problems resulted in the competition not being played at all. It's a meaningless friendly that unfortunately occurs right in the middle of the domestic season for European clubs and it is considered to be a pointless distraction. Notice how it is rarely televised in Europe and practically no-one cares regardless of the result. When a European team wins we shrug and when a South American team wins you lot consider it to be the greatest achievement football has ever seen. If South American's wish to take it seriously then feel free but do not demand that Europe does likewise. This whining is rather pathetic. Honestly condor11, you are a smart guy and I have enjoyed your contributions on numerous past debates/drafts but come on. Even you know that what I have posted is accurate.

i have no doubt in my mind that south americans mostly Argentinians and Braziliand(mostly because lately more often than not its their teams disputing the cup) feel differently about the cup that most europeans

probably because they lose so many players to european clubs these days and they are seen as the smaller brother in club competition terms so its their chance to stick it to the man if you will

maybe if the exodus of top south american talent (again mainly argentinian and brazilian) wasnt as large then this cup would be seen in better light in europe...who knows

but money talks and we aint got any

Listen, you can't bother for anything teso dos bichos say because he's obviously ignorant, his own theory that Ronaldinho was "trying to motivate his teamates because they didn't cared" is totally BOGUS. Accordingly to this dummy europeans didn't cared and only people from America's have the desired to win this cup so guess what?

Rafael Marquez, Deco, Thiago Motta, Belletti, Edmilson on the field plus Sylvinho and Saviola on the bench all wanted then, and didn't succeded. So who's was Ronaldinho trying to convince to try harder???

    EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES

be a man !you lost, deal with it

Actually...teso didn't lose. But he's right. No-one does care about this pointless cups. That's why they're never even televised.

I guess is more because the european teams besides having all the money in the world and getting more and more south americans to play for them still can beat SA.

Boca, Sao Paulo, Internacional can play any european side and beat them any day of the week.

For you english is worst, your league is total crap, so many foreigners is like you watching some mercenaries cup, no wonder we will never gonna see England taking a WC again
