Just a bit of news ahead of our game with the Rams. I also saw on Sky Sports News a while back that Kenny Miller may not be available due to a hammy injury. We'll have to see what happens over the course of the international break, I reckon.

I've nothing against Derby, but it's good to see Stompy McStomperson get suspended.

I've got nothing but love for Benny F but we need to stomp a hole in this poor side. 4-0 would be acceptable . 3pts and a stylish 3pts is a must.

Skeletor demands blood!!! and sexy football!!

A win is a must. This is a team that is very much struggling and they won't be too confident for even a point this weekend. We need to come out with Viduka, Owen and Martins up top. Milner on the right, Zogs on the left, Geremi and Emre in the middle. Cacapa Taylor Rozenhal in the back, unless Beye really impresses in training. Or Faye. Anyways this team will be flying from the go and will scare our opposition immensely and I can bet they won't know what to do with themselves.

Certainly the break hurts us more than them because they will be able to take their minds off of the beating a little bit but regardless I think this is the way to play.

I don't think BSA will be this aggressive, it will probably be two up top.

I hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't look like either Fox or Setanta is carrying this game in the U.S. Setanta is broadcasting Liverpool instead and Fox has no live games that day.

Isn't this Monday night's game? Usually it's on in the FSC 3pm slot Monday.

    Thx,

    Jay!

It is the Monday game but FSC doesn't have us picked up again until the Reading game on 27 Oct, according to their site.

Not happening when he's getting injured playing for Turkey. Maybe he'll be fit in time to go play for (and get injured again while playing for) his country next month.

I'm getting kind of tired of Emre being injured for the club and missing matches left and right, then declaring himself fit to play for Turkey when he hasn't been fit for the any of the games leading up to the break. The whole getting injured while away on international duty just rubs salt in the wound.

Fantastic, this should be a good one to watch, I'm glad Setanta altered their schedule to show this match. We should have had a half dozen goals against Wigan, a far superior team to Derby thus far, so the offensive fireworks should be great to actually see as opposed to getting text updates, which was the best I could do without the telecast.

Emre is officially on my "poo" list. I've held out hope that he would become a quality player on a consistant basis. Obviously, he doesn't want to play for us, so send him on his way in January.

I'm selling him in FIFA 07 tonight, as my transfer window has not closed.

id like to see some of the new signings start... enrique/beye...

i think that owen should sit on the bench with viduka/martins as partners up front.

    4-0 to the toon!
    martins

are you mad? owen is on fire; he is on a streak and strikers on a streak always find a way to score... you dont sit him until then...
Big Sam is going to have to find a way to start both Owen and Martins; i dont care if viduka gets stuck back home with a kangaroo...

Seriously. You don't douse the hot hand by jamming him on the bench.

The only way that Martins will ever start with Owen is if Ameobi and Viduka are both injured, or maybe it Milner's out and you still want to go 4-3-3. Owen prefers the little and large combination. I mean, look what Heskey did for him in the international break. Allardyce prefers it too, so that's what we'll see.

    1. how many matches has owen been fit to play in the last 2 years?

    2. owen played 2 times for england this week (and played a majority of the time)

so you want him to play in 3 matches in 10 days? :eek:plus traveling and training!

and by the way we play a team called arsenal on wed. in the league cup which i would consiter a more importian match that derby...

and viduka was not involved in any matches this week,

thats why owen should be rested and be fit for wed. and i would consider sam an idiot if he tryed to play owen so soon, he is on fire and he will be a key to our season... but if he dosent stay fit and gets another long term injury than everyone will bitch about how he was overworked.

Owen should get a half to play and sit afterward as a precaution. If anyone hasn't noticed already he tends to be injury prone. Martins is young and dynamic and needs the opportunity to be on the pitch.

I agree let Owen play just a half, but I would sub Viduka and let Martins on the field.

I'm still not convinced about playing Owen OR Oba.
