is declining. His J-League or Serie A days were more exciting to watch than his SPL days. Probabuly he forgot how to play football in Scotland. The joke league ruined him. Hirayama scored 8 or so goals in the Eredivisie at the age of 20. But now he is a benchwarmer in J. League. Koji is a vice-captaion at FC Basel. But he won't be called up to national team any more because he is playing in Switzerland. JFA should ban Japanese international players from transfering to crap leagues such as Scotland, Switzerland, Holland, Austria etc. J-League is better than those leagues.
How come? Nakamura was an ordinay player in J-league. He regularly improved in Italy and now he is doing fine in Scottish Premier League. How come is he declining?
All critics think last season's was Nakamura best season ever... Plus, are you sure those European leagues are so bad? I still think they're a bit above the J-league, even when I prefer the latter.
Nakamura Honors 2006-2007: Scottish PFA Players' Player of the Year Scottish Football Writers' Association Player of the Year Scottish PFA's Team of the Season Scottish PFA Goal of the Season Scottish Premier League Player of the Month Celtic Player of the Year Scottish Premier League Scottish Cup Scottish Premier League: 9 goals 12 assists UEFA Champions League: 2 goals 1 assists
I am shocked that such moron ever existed in this planet. Rubbish European leagues? I am positive that most European leagues have more history and more tradition because J-league just started in 1992
Apparently one of the Japanese football magazines (can't remember which, I just randomly picked one off the rack) was talking about the possibility of him returning to the Marinos next year. LOLOLOLOLOLOL
well, that's been in the media several times already. I think what Nakamura meant was that he wanted to return to Marinos when he decides to go home, but when that is he didn't know yet. But at that time, i think Nakamura only had 1 year left of his contract, and therefore the journalists presumed Nakamura would come back after that. but who knows? Marinos surely got enough financial muscles to go through with it. And Nakamura is maybe the biggest japanese star, which would lead to alot more fans coming to Nissan Stadium.
If he returns home earlier than 2 or 3 years from now i will lose all the resepct i have for him, and that is alot.
This has become an interesting thread... at first I thought it was a windup or sarcasm and ignored it. For better or worse he's settled on a quiet & subtle execution of basic playmaking and he's limiting self-reliance to crosses and freekicks only. So in that sense, I can understand why some people might think he's doing less because he is now doing less on the surface. Just hell of a lot more deeper down. In all honesty it's nice to see that subtle depth being observed and praised in the UK (at least by some). Not being cocky or anything but I had thought his art is too subtle to be appreciated, never mind spotted. Especially Strachan, I would've never thought he'd become the spotter.
They usually go back to their club, when they return. Not Kawaguchi, thou. Should Matsui return, I hope for him he'll go to a good club (not Gamba)...
