I bought my 2007 Audi A4 back in February and have been elated ever since. The price was reasonable ($41,000 with options). I sometimes think that I should have paid the extra $15,000 premium for the S4's V8, but with oil at $80 per barrel, I'm sort of glad I didn't. Audi's new 2.0T turbo is incredibly fun to drive especially with the sport suspension. I've pulled moves with this car that I wouldn't dream of doing in my old one. Plus, with the Jaguar XF up in the US$70-80,000 range, you'd have to have to compare it to an Audi S6 or maybe a BWM 6-series.
It's like looking at my 2006 A4 S-Line. I really like the S-Line package. All the benefits of the S4 save the gas guzzling V8.
Yep Magpie I think price will be the key. If it's $70,000-$80,000 then you're right in Audi s6 range. Probably too much. However I'm guessing that if they want to sell in numbers then the price will be around $60,000-$65,000 which puts it within Audi S4/S5 range. Just gonna hang fire and wait and see.
