We try to learn from the loss instead of bashing everyone like hypocritical arrogant sons of bitches that think they know more than the coach and the players when we're just fans and we're not with the team. You learn from losing... Do you disagree on that? Pleaz move on
great game guys! that Memo is one amazing piece of work! i was hoping to see nery be more of a threat as he was in the copa, but overall great game, great crowd! OT: bopper78 holy crap your avatar! i remember playing that game when i was growing up but i can't remember the name of it, little help??
Exactly people gotta chill the f*ck out... Brasil is getting ready for WCQ so this was more than just a friendly to them. We can't beat Brasil every freakin time.
No! see again you want to just push them out! One thing Hugo vowed not to do! Have respect for the opponent in front of you! the key to them being called up for this game was to get them used to hugo sanchez!
Panfilo's Analysis I alluded to this in an earlier post, but it was the replay of the Copa America but with Mexico's mistakes included. Brazil controlled possession and most of the chances which is to be expected. The gameplan was fine because that is how Mexico has beaten Brazil in the past, not just with Hugo but with Lavolpe and Aguirre. The team weathered the first 20 minutes with Ochoa coming up big twice. The team settled down but were not really creating anything except for one chance by Arce. Then came the brilliant play between Nery and Guardado which left Cacho open and boom Mexico up 1-0. All going to plan the formula for beating Brazil was working once again. BUT Mexico gives up a corner and the nightmare that are Set Pieces rear its ugly head and Mexico gives up a goal. Once that happened I knew this wasn't going to go our way. Just my premonition. Second half starts uneventfully both teams had their fair share of possesion slowly Brazil takes over again. And they get their more dangerous chances from set pieces once again. This time Memo saves Mexico's collective ass once again with great saves. And when it all looked like Mexico yet again had weathered the storm Rafa f'ks up a clearance and Kaka eats it for dinner. Game set match right there Even though Brazil had 10 I never really thought Mexico was going to comeback because we have two contenciones and with two contenciones you make the team predictable when going into the attack because the opposing team knows you are coming from the sides. Hugo needs to change muthaf'ka needs to change tactics on the fly. And by changing on the fly I don't mean the Argentina game from Copa America. Anyway player ratings Ochoa- When it is all said and done he will go down as the best goalie Mexico has ever produced. Castro- Osorio will have his hands full because Castro lockdown his side tonight I don't think anyone got past him all game. Magallon- It looked like he f'ked up on his marking on the first goal. Not to sure about that. Having said that everyone knows I'm not a big Magallon fan but the guy played alright. Rafa- It was all good till he f'ked up. And that has been the story of Rafa the past year with Barca. Rafa doing what Rafa does best in locking down opposing forwards then pfffft he has one boneheaded play and his team loses. The guy better get his head out of his ass or he will be riding pine in Barcelona Salcido- Was strong defensively, lacked offensively but the entire team lacked that. Was caught out of position on Brazil's second goal but the blame and rightfully so should go to Rafa. Arce- Dude played great defensively. Him and Castro work well together. If you numbnuts expect Arce to juke two guys and give off great passes to the forwards everytime he touches the ball then you guys are delusional. Did what he was supposed to do. Dude has earned a starting spot. Torrado- Nullified the opposition for most of the game. I can't figure out whether it was him or Magallon that f'ked up on the first goal. Average game for the warrior. Correa- Dude does the dirty work and he did that today. Guardado- The only bright spot tonight when it comes to field players. Great play for the goal ran all over the field. Can't really blame him on the last goal the team was pushed up too much, plus he saved a goal on the line. The Nery- The Nery played like Shiite for the most part although he actually did pass the ball on the Cacho goal. Cacho- Other than the goal he was shiite I'm out Amores Perros is on. Don't you think its rather amusing that Telemundo cuts off the part where Gael's character tells his brother "Lo madreador no te quita lo pendejo" yet in the very next scene they have "Chivo" shooting the guy in the restaurant. F'kn censors.
Chill out? your telling me to chill out when it was you who created that dumbass thread on how you wanted people to follow what you said? So what did you learn from this loss?
Marquez was our best defender despite his mistake I blame Salcido for the first goal The second goal was both Magallon's and Rafa's fault magallon lost Kaka's mark
You dont get it! therefore i am reallying to call you by the term of Retard! Mexico played with only 1 D-Mid when they played against cuba and really it didnt help much or did it?
Pushing them to me would have been to have Vela and Gio and Pato Araujo play all the minutes in both games. Is asking for Vela and Gio to have played an extra fifteen miunutes to much to ask?
I realize I was wrong for doing that... I was just really mad but I'm fine right now and I had a better day today. Sometimes I've taken out my anger on this site but I'll stop that. What did I learn from the loss? Honestly that''s a question you ask the coach but, I think we found out Nery can't do it all every game like he did in Copa America. Our team needs to work on markin on corners and free kicks, we really suck there.
you mean the 2-0 win where brasil pretty much dominated the 2nd half? the 2-0 win where it looked like mexico was playing a man down vs brasil's almost B team? that game? just a friendly. it's always just a friendly win we lose. USA B team vs Mexico A team... just a friendly... As much as Hugo shot his mouth at Ricardo, I'm glad Mexico lost tonight. Put Hugo in the hot seat so he sees it isn't as easy as he thought.
OMG dude! Seriously dude if in those last 15 minutes of the game Rafa doesnt make the mistake and the counterstrike would been neutralized and the final score would be 1-1 we wouldnt have this argument would we?
Yea but he did make the mistake... But I agree with you that it's easy to bash and crticize and people do it all the time. Not takin a shot at you diablo, so don't take it personally.
Hugo is not up to par as a coach. The team seemed lost for prolonged parts of the game and the Brazilians were unlucky not to do more damage. I don't know if it was simply the state of mind of the players, but they appeared timid, ineffective and imprecise. The team -as a team- needs a lot of work. I had a shrunk scrotum most of the bloody game.
i think we should have had Nery with Gio up there starting instead of Cacho. cmon anybody in Cacho's position could have scored that.
