I'm excited to have some real football back after all these stupid internationals. Can't wait for Saturday.

Rovers are certainly a tough team and w/out Drogba and Lampard, it will be tough to break them down. Let's see how the lads bounce back from internationals and the loss to Villa.

    Waypoints.

You all know what they are, and in a title winning season there are several in the season long road, the final destination being the lifting of the trophy.

We have now come across the first of ours, if it is indeed to be a title winning season.
A good performance is required here, three points are an absolute must and the firm bedding in of Belletti, the raise in level of the midfield play and forwards that look like the can score must also be demonstrated.
If we can accomplish all of this - which, in all honesty, isn't a far reach lads - we can go forward and keep the title dream alive.

Getting 3 points simply isn't enough.
If we do that, we'll just be putting in another performance.
What we need, is a good team performance, solid signs that we are approaching the levels of play that won back to back titles.

Mourinho needs to sort out the left side of the field and find a way to make it work with J Cole on the pitch.Drogba has to be supplied with more chances, and not just bloody punts up the field for him to 'get on the end of'.

If we can get a good performance under our belts, we'll look back at this in later months and see signs of where things started to go right.
If you take a long look at the two title winning seasons, you'll see several points where we just clicked and went on fantastic runs for a spell, the ever wanted 'purple patchs'.

Purple patches set the foundations for titles, yet they have to start somewhere.

This needs to be that somewhere.

    A waypoint.

So why does Blackburn say 2? They are 7 off of the leaders.

    Fuk me.

It clearly says -8 GD...and then the -2 is referring to the points, of which they have 8, meaning they are...wait for it....hold the line.....HOLD THE LINE......2 fuking points off.

It's a fuking game thread, and you're on here pissing and whinging about fuking bullshit.

    Jesus wept, get a grip.

We will win this game I'll put any amount of money on it. After last game, I'm sure the team has refocused and will come out strong. 2-1 final score.

A small ray of hope, but apparently Shevchenko was very dangerous in the Ukraine Italy game, hitting the bar, nearly scoring from long range, having a few more chances and eventually scoring. :)

2-1 would be unacceptable to me still....
Blackburn has looked very strong from the tail end of last season, and this season.

At LEAST 2 goals, and a shutout is what's needed to rebuild confidence, especially with Man U coming up.

Sometimes a loss can really get a team fired up, and I think that the players will perform under a sense of rising up to the pressure with all of our injuries. We have the players that love to be in when it matters, and I see them reassuring everyone of who they are. Chelsea wins 3-1.

There was no edit. We are even in points. Blackburn is not. When teams are even in points we go to GD. Maybe I'll use english for next weeks match thread.

I love when people complain about a service they don't pay for.

Hey, that complimentary coffee and muffin you gave me weren't organic. WTF!!!
