$1 Beers will be available on the Northwest Concourse until 7:00pm kick-off versus Chicago Fire. The only way into this party is by purchasing at least 4 Sideline East Tickets at $15 each (normally $24). There are only 500 passes available for this event so call me today at 1-214-705-6752. This from the email sent out to everyone. I would have liked to see $1 Beer for the whole match, but it's a start
damn! you beat me to it. I was just about to start this thread. Good job FO. Nothing better than drunk soccer fans on ESPN. BTW, it will also fill the east side since you have to buy four east side tickets for the $1 beer.
once again, season ticket holders get screwed. next year we should just wait for these deals as they come up. it's not like we can't sit in a decent seat most games anyway....
That's the plan, Stan. I'm not re-upping next season. Screw that. Just buy when I want to. Take advantage of deals like this. Oh no....I don't get to take advantage of the crucial pre-sale for the Nickelback concert. What will I ever do??!!
Here comes Kevin to save the day. In 5.........4.............3..............2.............1.................
my concern is that if a bunch of people already have tickets and buy one east side seat to get drunk off of cheap beer, the east side will still be empty on ESPN.
I normally don't gripe about not getting things like $1 beers rolleyes but this angers me for one specific reason. It reminds me of the penny pichers that we used to buy in San Marcos and they took that away from us too. I'm not allowed to get cheap beer.
Yes, but then they can announce a sell out!!! It's all about the numbers they get to put down on paper.
Mehh....my beer works out to $1 a bottle anyway....and I don't have to buy a $15 ticket to purchase it at the Quickie Mart.
30 years or so ago MLB used to have a dime beer night.....(with inflation an' all it's about the same).....they stopped it after a game twixt the Rangers and Cleveland IIRC....as common sense took over.
the keg of fosters in my garage at home works out to about .45 a serving, but I can't take my keg into the game. I understand they are trying to get more butts in seats, but reward the season ticket holders too for Christs sake.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten_Cent_Beer_Night I feel a lot safer paying $6 for Hoops Foam now. It would be too dangerous for everyone if there was a full-game dollar promotion.
you must be careful when using phrases like "buck a brat" the double entendre could get you a reputation. I prefer Wurstfest in New Braunfels to all oktoberfests outside of Muchen but "buck a brat" sounds more like the theme to the Cedar Springs Rodeo
Received the following email last night, why didn't the STH get an opportunity first without having to buy more tickets? "FCD Dallas Fans come out and cheer on your team as we head to the playoffs. FC Dallas vs Chicago Fire on Sept 20th at 7pm. Special Autograph Session: With the newest FC Dallas player and World Cup Winner Denilson Denilson Autograph Session – Limited to First 150 people · Four (4) Sideline East Tickets @ $18 = 2 wristbands for the autograph session"
Also, the typical notex soccer mom might interpret "buck a brat' to mean they can bring all the kids they want to the game for $1 each
wow.... it just gets worse every freaking day for season ticket holders. I paid $1,000 for four tickets, half season plan. I get nothing but reminders that I got "good seats". Meanwhile, people I invite get four tickets plus pizza and drinks for same price I paid or LESS, and sit in the empty seats in front of me. (and I pay about $60 per game extra for food and drinks for me and my family) Or they can get $1 beer, or they can get Denilson's autograph, or they get $10 tickets in August, or... what else can the FO think of to reward the casual fan and screw the $$$ paying die-hard? Not to mention I bought a Toja jersey for my wife, I bought a Mina jersey that he wore in the game in March and was auctioned off, I have a long sleeve Kenny Cooper jersey, my daughter has a Nunez jersey (hey, she likes him!) and my youngest inherited my older daughters 2005 jersey. So add that to my 'investment' in the team. and the casual fan that wears the Cowboys shirt to the game gets in cheaper than me, eats and drinks cheaper than me... I will admit that my sales guy is great, but it's a challenge for him to keep me happy when this crap comes up for almost every home game. He's going to lose 4 season ticket sales next year. I'm going game-by-game next year so that I can get the better value.
