Oscar has donated about 15 lbs of outstanding fajita meat for Wed's game.

Assuming I'm able to get there at a reasonable hour, we're going to need an 18 to 22 inch grill in order to get the carne cooked correctly!

Can we count on a person or two to have such a grill available on Wed, say about sixish?

I've got a grill, but I don't know if I can get down there early. We'll see. I assume you want charcoal. I don't have any charcoal on hand since I always use my propane grill. Will you have a bunch of charcoal?

    I'll have charcoal.

If other people want to be helpful, bring a 20 count bag or two of flour (not corn) tortilla-soft taco size. Post here if you're up for donating some tortilla, please, and indicate how many. I estimate that we're going to need about six such bags (about 14 lbs).

He's pretty much suggesting tortillas instead of paper plates. It's going to be meat and tortilla. Feel free to bring things such as salsa, shredded cheese, sour cream, guac, lettuce, diced tomatos, jalepenos, etc, to make some tasty tacos.

Thanks to Oscar for donating the carne. These are actually the perfect games to bring this stuff to since weeknight tailgates tend to be light on food, but full of people with empty stomachs because they just came from work.

Dude, that's a pretty damn odd reason! HAHAHA That'd be one hell of a class to skip for DC United!!! HAHAHAHA

No but really, sorry about the alcohol class. I hope it's learning to make it or drink it instead of what I think it is......

Unfortunately, it's alcohol education. We all know, I can make the drinks. Barring some miracle, or miracle excuse, I will have to miss it. Ohhhhh, I think Pete needs another drink! For the glory of old DC!!!

The flour ones hold up about 300% better than corn (soft tortilla).

I'm not seeing a lot of volunteering to bring tortilla. Wassup, Barra??

It is. There are the large ones I use for quesadillas and there are small ones that are about the diameter of a hot dog length. I think the large ones are labeled burritos and the small ones are labeled tacos. They're near the chicken and beef at Harris Teeter. Not sure about other grocery stores. But usually in the colder sections sitting in one of those bins as opposed to on a shelf. Whatever count of bag, I think GM is looking for about 60 torts?

GM, I was going to step up if I didn't see anyone post because I'm going grocery shopping tonight. I was trying to give some other Barra members that don't usually bring things a chance to step up and contribute instead of the same ole tailgate contributors doing it each time. That attempt failed... :( Not sure why since you don't even need a cooler and they don't spoil. I understand not wanting to have meat sitting in your car at work, but tortillas? It's not even expensive either. $10-$15. And since nobody bit on the suggestion of toppings to make tacos, I'll probably pick up some salsa, tomatoes, onions, jalepenos, etc. I'm not even going to be eating this stuff...

Oh yeah, and in case it wasn't implied earlier, I'll be bringing my red charcoal grill for you. You said you had charcoal right? I can bring my propane grill as well if you want so we can crank it out and Scruggs can use his grill for whatever he's bringing to cook.

Let me know. 1 or 2?
