Good plan, I like that I'm a lone striker.....that way I can take half the game off like Carlos does.
Just know that my name isn't pronounced like it's spelled....it's kind of tricky...but instead of the phoenitic Teks Gaitour, it's actually pronounced McLovin.
I think me and my buddy were the basis for the two main characters in that film. I'll let you decide which one I was.
We could call you El Texcadito. Lets just hope you haven't lost your magic during the half when you plan to play. I guess that also makes you the captain of this ragtag squad. StGerrard is clearly our young prima dona player that thinks he should always be starting. St Garrard will need to work hard in practice throwing tons of insults at drum r boy about what a foolish idea it is to do game analysis 3 weeks in advance if he is to get out of the dog house. If he doesn't step it up he will likely be traded for a bag of rocks and then we will bad mouth about him by saying that he was a lockerroom cancer.
I guess that makes me the hopeful CAM that warms the end of the bench on a developmental roster salary. Concerning the USOC, I'll have my opinions ready for y'all around Sept. 30. Just waaay too early to formulate an opinion for a game that is just under a month away... I CAN say that I will be there for the Final, along with a few crazy posters, a FCD-converted Viking hat, and a heart full of Hoops love. I just hope I don't get pulled-over again en route to PHP. Thanks, Drum'r Boy for the thread. A bit premature, but I still love thinking about the future. Keeps me from stressing too much over the present...
Don't worry about this final, we are in talks with Chivas to get rid of you and your "me me me" attitude. BTW, I would be better out wide, I don't have much weight to through around in the middle.
FC Dallas Fans: First and foremost, thanks for your support of FC Dallas. Secondly, WE NEED YOU to help promote the US Open Cup Final against the New England Revolution. We know that you share our excitement in hosting US Soccer’s National Championship game, the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, at Pizza Hut Park on Wednesday, Oct 3rd at 7pm. We started the season with one clear goal for this team; to win Championships for our fans. And now we have a great opportunity to win a major trophy in front of you, our loyal supporters. Our Front Office will have an aggressive sales, marketing, PR and grass roots campaign to help fill the Park for this important, nationally televised game. But we need your help to support our efforts and promote the game in your community. On Saturday, Sept. 8th; you can pick up a Supporters Package from Guest Services (located on the North East Concourse next to the FC Dallas Team Shop). The Supporters Package will include Posters and Flyers for the US Open Cup Championship game. We ask that you stop by businesses (restaurants, bars, dry cleaners, coffee shops, etc) in your community to put up the posters and hand out the flyers to team mates, co-workers, neighbors, etc. Anyone who may be interested in coming to Pizza Hut Park to support FC Dallas in a Championship game! If you can’t attend the game but would like us to mail a Supporters Package to you, please email dchilds@fcdallas.net. And/or if you need additional posters and flyers. Together, we can host a great Championship match in a packed Pizza Hut Park. It’s important to provide your team with a True Home Field Advantage. We want you to be a part of this Championship event. And appreciate anything you can do to help promote the game and rally soccer fans to come out to the Park. This can be one of the defining moments for this franchise. Thanks again for your support. We’re glad you’ll be apart of it. Sincerely, Hitch General Manager FC Dallas Pizza Hut Park
I want to be the useless backup keeper who is eternally injured and then becomes GK coach for a minute kinda like the drummers in Spinal Tap
Not to mention, the backup goalie also gets a big fat paycheck and then explodes like the spinaltap drummers.
i think its BS that as a season ticket holder, we cant trade a mls game ticket in to get the US Open cup Final.
Do other professional sports allow this? You can't trade a regular season ticket to a playoff game in any other sport I know of.
well they gave us tickets to other US Open Cup games and the first round of playoffs in the season ticket package. but i would think that because its a cup final, they would do whatever it takes to get as many people out to the game. the only way it would cost them money is if it sold out, and by me being there, i was costing them money by not allowing a non season ticket holder to buy a ticket to the game. but i dont think it will be a sellout anyways.
I do understand it is inconvenient. But I think you can see from the price points that we're doing everything we can to have as large a crowd as possible. And considering that you can exchange season tickets for almost any other FC Dallas game, I think it is safe to say we're pretty flexible about that stuff overall.
PHP is the only place I have ever seen that will allow for ticket exchanges for any game. Sometimes you have to take what you can get.
I'm with Kevin and the FO on the ticket issue for this game. I'm just happy we the FO put together a strong enough big to host the game and kept the tickets a really reasonable price point. They just as easily could have said, why spend the money, and let New England host the game. Considering how much I complained about FO decisions this season, it's time I made sure I spoke out just a strongly for a decision I support. Thanks for getting the game in our house, now let's get butts in seats and win some hardware!!
