Got it on in the background for no good reason.

Bunch of protesters. Petraeus's microphone is broken.

Listening to Ros-Lehtinen made me stupider.

Is it on public radio or only c-span. Where I am right now has a pretty restrictive firewall.

I am listening to it on NPR. They have a streaming link on NPR's page. I can also get it on my radio via Minnesota Public Radio.

I see we're stoking the fires for bombing Iran.

    Nope. They're still there.

I actually think Code Pink is pernicious to their cause.

Agreed. They play right into the "crazy liberals" meme.

The General Betray-Us ad from MoveOn in the NYT didn't help much either.

BTW, how does Code Pink get into the hearing in the first place?

It is a public hearing. I am not sure if they run it by tickets or by "first come, first served"

I thought it was tickets and credentials. But I could be wrong.

It's definitely not credentials. At most, you may have to show picture ID, but that's it.

In both houses? I'd figure there would be some decent questions coming out of the Senate.

I wouldn't even call them questions. This is all window dressing, from both sides.

I thought Ackerman had some potential, and then it fell apart.

General Petraeus just rectify Chain of Command for a section of workers. http://www.C-SPAN.org Of course, there is some stuff here. You can read all 18 legislative, security and economic benchmarks at hyperlink. General Petraeus briefs on Iraq War and Ambassador Crocker briefs on Iraq Politics.

Found it. IRAQ BENCHMARKS This is all pretty new to myself. So I would guess; that most debates stem from these shallow lines and trys togive furthur insight on issues. Pretty complex yet very managiable I suppose.

Rep. Abercrombie (Hawaii) just laid into Ambassador Crocker. Saying the Iraq Government is cut out of OIL. Like what he just sated in his opening statement. However Rep Abercrombie went on to say HUNTS OIL GROUP out of Texas just signed an agreement cutting out Iraq Government with Kurdastan. Something like that....
