Ok, I'm an idiot for asking...what the hell are we qualifying for? Euro championships completed earlier this summer. I don't think it's for the Olympics as didn't we qualify for that already.

If he would be played as a LB then I would like him on the team, but as a winger, no, because there are too many players who can play those positions better even if they are not wingers

So you mean to tell me that there are non-wingers who can play the position of winger better than someone like Rosi who actually IS a winger?

Well we dont really play wingers so maybe I should have used the word wide forward. And yes, there are a lot of players

Giovinco, Rossi, Russotto, Paonessa, Candreva, Mancuso, Di Gennaro..........the latter 3 not being a part of the U21

Rosi needs first team action. He'll get that in serie B this year

Actually he played in several games last season, he even stepped on the pitch in a Champions League. Regardless of that though, I must ask ... what do you possibly expect. We stick a kid that young in the starting 11? We did the right thing for his future in loaning him out. If he amazes this year then I'm sure he'll be back in Roma and playing regularly.

Well, that was the idea behind the loan deal. Our midfield is just too deep this season with veteran players that Rosi's chances of playing time were reduced dramatically. It sucks that we won't see the kid in a Roma jersey this season, but this year at Chievo will be the best thing for him for sure.

just a reminder, today the game is on at 3 PM EST on RAI International.

We will most probably see the usually Casiraghi formation, 4-1-4-1.

what channel on streamerone is it on?

edit: test 3 for anyone who is curious

edit: update after 15 minutes, russotto has had some nice passes, dessena just had a rocket saved by their keeper, pozzi has controlled a few chips from cigarini well but nothing too dangerous for an end product, and giovinco has shown some classy touches as usual. granted, this is faroe islands, no disrespect to them, of course.

also, it seems that some of the usual first-teamers, like acquaferesca and g. rossi, are being rested, so russotto and pozzi got the starts.

    goal 1-0 russotto 26'

nice ball played in to him by giovinco. russotto and giovinco both love to play those clever one-touches that i have noticed, and pozzi has been played in a few times by cigarini over the top, but the timing is always a hair off.

hopefully this will open up faroe a little bit and give some more room at he back maybe.

edit: wow, consigli was sleeping there. from about 35 meters out, at least, faroe scores and equalizes.

    1-1 31'

    oh, ok, that explains it

    edit: 1-1 ht.

giovinco has been very impressive again, among others. italy has dominated, but it is 1-1. that goal was just unbelievable, lol. it was a good strike, credit to the faroe player, but then again, consigli was just totally taken by surprise, and wasn't even close to it, lol.

What a lucky strike and opportunity for the Faroe player--that goal was all Consigli right there; wtf was he doing leaving the net completey unguarded?

One shot on goal from 40 meters out, one goal; ridiculous.

We've owned this game. Time to put it away--Russotto should have made it 2-1 on that sitter, ah well.

    lol.

anyways, lupoli in for russotto and now acquafresca is in for pozzi (who a couple of minutes before he was subbed flubbed a header "malissimo" was what the announcers said. the chances are coming, just the end product is lacking.)

edit: oh my, just after I finished that lupoli missed from about 3 yards. this might just not be italy's day

Ohhhh! palo for giovinco. nice free kick but just missed. did I mention giovinco is special. :) he has had some great touches throughout the game, weaving runs, nice crosses, and now a post on a free kick.

gol di cigarini!!! nice strike from outside the box, after a series of corners an a free kick drawn by giovinco.
