Oh yeah we have a game in two days. Anything less than a comprehensive win in this one would be a huge disappointment. Last easy game left. REFEREE: Hilario Grajeda. SAR (bench): Steven Taylor; JAR (opposite): Paul Scott; 4th: Fernando Galvan MLS Career: 14 games; FC/gm: 31.0; Y/gm: 3.7; R: 2; pens: 4 Games involving FC Dallas: P3 W1 L1 T1; FC/gm: 32.3; Y/gm: 2.7; R: 2; pens: 1 Games involving Toronto FC: first game
We still go to LA on the 23rd ... and since we've lost to both of them, we might as well say that LA will be easier.
Since this is the first meeting with TFC at PHP, I suggest the following (some more serious than others): 1. Stock up on streamers, and TP the TFC players to death during TFC corner kicks. I got mine - probably paid too much at Garden Ridge (about $0.80/roll) but I was in the moment. Hey, that's how they roll at Bowel Movement Field. 2. The game MUST end in a draw. It's only fair. 3. The national anthem must be replaced with "Texas, Our Texas". 4. This happened in 116 in passing during one of the games this year, so more of this please: "Referee, I respectfully disagree with your decision." 5. Wearing red + white isn't going to faze TFC. FYI. (Or, it shouldn't.) 6. All 116 insults must be Shakespearean. Just to eff with the TFCers. 7. WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I made the other one the pre-game thread, but I didn't announce the change so I suppose this is what I get... which is worse, our B-string defense or Toronto's absent offense?

Woo Hoo. Denilson and Toja are going to blow TFC's mind. Fee soccer balls too... I should officially have my entire garage floor covered with FCD balls after tomorrow night (helped by the MLS/BurgerKing soccer ball give away at Dr. Pink field last year where we racked up about 15). You Infernites should consider singing to Dichio at the 24th minute that he hasn't scored yet.
yeah I saw that a minute ago. I guess if TFC supporters sing the Dichio song every 24th minute no matter what then I could make sense.
Since I have heard how awesome TFC's fans are, I would assume they are bringing more people to Dallas than we took to Toronto. Right.
Don't worry, our offense will make your defense look like stars. We haven't scored since July 7. We failed to score vs LAG. At home. Our only two strikers with any kind of offensive ability are out for the season. Our only good playmaking attacking MF is out for the season. Basically, if we score it will be a miracle. Good luck and have fun with your 3 points. (and no, I have not abandoned the team, I have just decided to concentrate on next year, since this year is already over. Sometimes being a soccer fan is a painful endeavor)
Thats what she said.... 3-0 FCD, we went from 1st to 6th in a matter of weeks, time to turn the ship around.
Han: Yeah... Chewie, lock in the auxilliary power. (rumble rumble) CHEWIE! Lock in the auxilliary power! Luke: Why are we zooming toward it?!
Matchday 23: Toronto FC at FC Dallas September 7th, 2007 . By: Jason Benfield http://www.3rddegree.net/
Rather than trepidation, I would hope they would look at the upcoming match with a sense of motivation. Considering the form that Toronto FC is currently in, one would hope FCD could earn 3 points easily.
