    Re: Tenemos dudas

best keeper in Colombia is Ospina

Best keeper out of Colombia would be Rob Zapata or Neko Martinez.

Calero is also good at club level but isnt good on NT level.

then I dont know whose next the keeper of Equipad looks good too tho dont know much about him. I liked Onces Landuazzi but he has def gone down hill this past month. Augstin Julio is good but I dont see him as NT quality especially now that he is so old, dont think he is better than Calero or Ospina.

Julio is a filler for Ospina, I think Ospina will sit under Zapata and pick up the exp. points..ala Guillermo Ochoa

    Re: Tenemos dudas

thats what I am hoping for because Ospina is 1000x better than JUlio and 100x younger.

I dont see a point of putting Julio on the team the guy is so old, why not have Ospina play these dumb friendlies that are with local easy teams and have Zapata come in for the big boys during qualifiers. Think that Zapata is a 1-2 year filler for Ospina or hopefully Libis and Neko to finally reappear for us.

I see Ospina, Zapata and Neko as our WC goalies. Haha tho No Brayan and his bloopers tho I do like Brayan his bloopers keep him from being a godlike keeper. haha cant believe the goal he let nacional score haha

Julio isn't so bad, he did okay in that Mexico game and he was there because Rufay was playing an important game in Steu, I see Zapata as our goalie for the next 4-5 yearsa nd then I see Ospina there for like a decade....

    Re: Tenemos dudas

but thats what I am saying why if Ospina is the 2nd goalie either way does he not play... when Zapata is back then Julio is just going to be dropped???

It didnt make sense for Pinto to bring Ospina to Japan and the other friendlies to have him as #2 and then drop Julio who play'd all the friendlies as a starter....
    because he had Zapata...

its like he is giving Julio experience but at 34 if he is not a starter he should not even be considered? wouldnt it be smarter to give that shot to Ospina who is 19 ??

I seriously can care less if we lose friendlies Fifa rankings means shit to me but Ospina having 5 game experience ( panama, mexico, japan, montenegro and at least one of the next 2 friendlies) that Julio was given would have been way better if Ospina had gottne that shot

I dont think Ospina failed against Uruguay he had a bad team taht gave 2 pks,10 men and he came in at the 7th min to stop a fing PK.... that would be hard on any keeper much less an 18 yaer old one. Think he needs to be given a real shot not that BS one that Pinto gave him

Ospina makes too many mistakes, only that in Colombia they are not considered so.

No, he's a 19 year old who has done better than most 30-somethings. I think you are judging him incorrectly

Then he has plenty of time to get better, for right now he should keep being a solid keeper for Nacional.

    Re: Tenemos dudas

I think he's good and has the potential to be our best keeper in maybe 4-6 years. Furthermore, has a team willing to take him step by step all the way to the top. But at the same time I think that there is too much hype behind him. Nacional games are always on TV so you get to see him a lot and usually he plays fine, but since Nacional defense is solid (unlike last night) is not like he has a lot of work.

Keepers with similar performances usually go unnoticed because they're not in TV that much. For example Landazuri, who I've seen only a couple of times on TV an usually have great games without the benefit of a strong defense and the media hoopla.

The Once Caldas games are shown as much as the Nacional games, unless I am mistaken...

    Re: Tenemos dudas

    You are really mistaken....

Usually they present a game from each one of the 3 biggest cities, Bogota, Cali and Medellin. Unless Caldas is visiting those stadiums, chances are their games are not in TV.

Libis Arenas - The dude has mad skills and if you ask me: Better than Ospina. The Kid was playing top level futbol at age of 16. The problem with him is that his team was set on making a profit off him. We all know that goal keepers is probably the only position that as you get older "the better you are" so it is difficult for a 19 year old to go overseas to win a spot. Now, He has sunk low but dount him out because there no reason why he won't be a in a couple of years in a major Club in Spain.

he is in the uruguyan league now in a big team i think Central Esponal or something like that on loan from a 3rd division spanish team......

hope he does well but better than Ospina I doubt he is or will be, Ospina has already won the Copa Mustang and been the starting keeper for the biggest club in Colombia for 2-3 years and is younger.

Libis is freakishly tall but the guy gives up to many rebounds, and has a crappy goal kick .... neither problems that Ospina has

    I agree..
i remember that goal from midfield from Caldas that caught Ospina completely offside a couple of weeks ago.

The guy is too green to be a starter in the NT..

    Re: Tenemos dudas

not saying for him to be a starter on the NT just he needs to be on the Team... he needs to learn the ropes so by 2010 he will be our keeper.

and as for libis he is the 2nd keeper for Central Esponal... as he has yet to play for them, dont no why that is tho
