Wow! Luis Figo and Edgar Davids are siging with TFC... did you know that Kaka, is also working on deal, and Mo thinks C. Ronaldo would help inject soe pace into the lineup. We have also almost signed John Terry and Nesta!
Figo would be a perfect player for Toronto. (Soccer wise and business wise) He will shape up TFC midfield for sure.

That's the look of effort and trying hard, something some players on TFC can learn about when they fail to hustle at crucial points. lmao. My point exactly. I think a DP around June next year would help us greatly. Like the writer said, if TFC continues to be a mediocre team, the novelty will wear off and we'll just be another MLS team...In order to keep being special, chanting the same chants and throwing streamers...we're gunna need more then that. We're gunna need to win, and having a major player like Figo or Edgar will make us that must better, automatically.
Fair enough Rabid but I have the feeling that when feelers are put out in the backchannels between TFC and the Figo's (or Rui Costa's) agent the answer is... Toronto, what the hell is that? My point is that Toronto isn't that attractive to most Europeans (although I think they would love it here if they came). I know there's a huge Portuguese and Italian population, and a "Rabid" fan base, but my experience is that Euros aren't familiar with these facts. I've been to Italy many times and I often get a response like "there are Italians in Toronto. Wow! I never knew that". It's not nearly as easy as we think it is to get players to come here and we don't even know if Mo has tried. Generally it's not considered diplomatic for a manager who failed to persuad a player to say that that player ('s agent) said he would never come here over his dead body.
