Norman Hsu has skipped bail (again). And apparently, they cannot find his passport. According to the New York Times, he never turned it in.
if you've seen this man please notify the Superior Court in Redwood City California at the following site: https://contribute.hillaryclinton.com/form.html?sc=1
Should I be more upset, less upset, or exactly as outraged about this as I am about Jack Abramoff? Please explain your answer.
Hsu contributed to Clinton's campaign and appears to be a very shady character. No doubt. But the worst Clinton is guilty of is perhaps bad judgement, perhaps, of someone later found to be very dodgy. And she returned or gave the money to charity, right? But it would be worse if he actually worked for Clinton's campaign, right? And that would be a scandal, right? So what about if Hilary's national finance committee co-chairman was charged with mail fraud, money laundering, bankruptcy fraud, perjury and obstruction of justice? That'd be pretty much a huge scandal, right? You bet it would be. Now go Google Alan Fabian and Mitt Romney and get back to me with your outrage.........
23. Apparently that's below the magic number that causes outrage when a Reep does it. Now if anyone who shared a molecule of oxygen with any Democratic candidate, especially Clinton, had 23 counts of mail fraud, money laundering, bankruptcy fraud, perjury and obstruction of justice against them, why, I think the known world would quite probably come to an end. Anyway, 23. Google 23, Alan Fabian and Mitt Romney and just bring your outrage.
oh, will you just chill its Saint Hillary and the media will not touch this and most posters here are just having a little fun with it, its not like this will go anywhere, he was giving money to the Dems... that makes it all right!
Can't we be outraged about both? Or are we only allowed to be outraged by scandals if the person involved has a letter behind their name we don't like?
The thread title is incomplete. All headlines about Hsu must contain the phrase 'Disgraced Dem Donor'.
I couldn't agree more, but I wasn't going to vote for Hillary anyway. (Unless Hillary gets the Democratic nomination, in which case I'm going yellow-dog. Besides, guaran-freaking-tee there will be some GOP donor who makes Hsu look like the Archangel Gabriel.) I'm just a little curious as to what makes this one more egregious than, say, Ken Lay. What standard are we using that wouldn't make one turn against George W. Bush dozens of times over?
What does Ken Lay have to do with this? He was involved with accounting fraud, not anything political. BTW, poor example if you know this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_Lay
If anything, I hope this kills the current system of campaign finance. I say, lets end the "bundler" farce which is nothing more than a way to empower those already in power and go to a system where anyone can give money to anyone, provided it is all disclosed. Then George Soros or Phil Anshutz can give $50,000,000 to their favorite candidate, and end the requirement that candidates spend most of their time fundraising.
