Del 98 casi no me acuerdo
De los dos el mas memorable para mi es 02 por la derrota contra Estados Unidos, empato en 1er lugar del grupo junto con italia...ah y como olvidar en majesrtal gol de Borgetti!

i was 11 or 12 when it happened. guess i don't remember the games as much as 02 or 06, but i remember gathering around with the family, having a barbeque, watching mexico play, cheering on el matador and campos (my two favorite players at the time). everyone was there. great times.

also, the holland game sticks out in my memory the most. as does how upset everyone was after the germany game... still a good world cup though.

98 was the first Mundial I ever watched and I still remember a great deal of it.

jejejeje...i did somthing similar. i was pretty wasted and pissed that we lost and went walking around the neighborhood late at nite when i see a parked van with a big USA flag and on the back window it said "lets go usa, world cup 2002" (fu<king spazzos!!! ) well, i grabbed a few rocks and broke 2 windows and left some dents on it. i felt a little a better after that


anyway, the best World Cup for me was definately the 1998 one. all the we played in were great and memorable. who could forget the likes of Campos, Matador, Temoc, Cabrito, Aspe, Ramon, etc?!

speaking of which, anyone know where i can get videos of all the games we played in the 98 World Cup??????

1998. Our NT had a flair for the dramatic. For example the game against the Netherlands. Viva El Matador!

I vaguely remember 94. Just Beto missing the PK. 98 was incredible. 02 was the biggest heartbreaker. 06 was simply sad.

With that said, Im going with 98, although I didnt really know at the time what teams like Holland and Germany represented but just watching that team play was truly an experience for me.

pa' mi sin duda fue con el de Francia 98.

Las dos volteretas…ante los coreanos, que realmente no fue nada especial por se ellos, luego contra Belgica gracias a Aspe y a la mugre en la uña del dedo gordo del pie izquierdo del jorobado.
Luego la banda nos dio un juego para recordar contra Holanda. Pinche matador!!!!!
Pa acabarla nos estaban dando un buen show contra Alemania, pero no nos salio.

Y claro los chavos de la 17. El talento, la conexion, la ganas, los huevos, la mentalidad……todo era de campeones……y por eso salieron campeones.

This last world cup was my 8th world cup that I remember watching. As a Mexican, the most memorable for me was Mexico 86, most notably because when Mexico was humiliated in 1978, and then bounced from the tournament by El Salvador in 1982, it was great to see the players give the fans something to cheer for. I was upset when Mexico lost to Germany, but I didn't cry...until 1998. That came out of nowhere, especially considering how bad they played in the tune-ups leading up to the game. It was devastating to see the Germans mount a comeback against Mexico. But I still held my head up high. My best Mexican moment: Marcelino en Washington.

My favorite world cup as a fan was Spain 1982, and my least favorite was Italia 90, made even more frustrating by the cachirules combining with a very low level of play. Mexico could have done very well in that tournament. It still chaps my ass thinking about it.

Mi viejo tuvo la suerte de ver partidos del '70 y el '86. Como deseo yo ver un juego de mundial en vivo en las trigunas. Mi mundial favorito fue el de Francia '98. Si Pinche Matador hubiera metido ese gol le estuvieramos ganando a los Alemanes 2-0 despues del tiro al poste del cabrito. Pero Hernandez estuvo increible ese mundial. Me hizo llorar tambien

my dad had tickets for a game at the jalisco in 1970.

hard pressed for money, he sold them when he was offered twice what he paid for them(it was a brazil game, although i don't know against who.)

he regrets that decision.
