So, I've invited The Secretaries of Hate (my DC Rollergirl team) to the game and tailgate this Sunday. Several of these young ladies are both attractive AND single. I pointed out that sharing alcohol and baked goods are both excellent ways to make new friends in Lot 8. I'm teaching them the chants and they are prepared to jump, scream, sing and be doused in beer during the game. Anything else I need to tell them?
Re: DC vs Revoltion 9/9 Tailgate When you say young, just how young. Don't ever plan on being on Dateline.
Re: DC vs Revoltion 9/9 Tailgate Well, we might be tailgating in a breezy tropical rainstorm. Follow the weather reprts and suggest that each teamate bring a towel and change of dry clothing for post game shenanigans. You might suggest to them to read the various articles written about La Barra. One final thing -- what's a Barra tailgate without meeting the GrillMaster? GM
That Duffman is both attractive AND single. Also, that Finn MacCool's is a great place for post game activities. Heck, it's going to only be 5pm when the game ends. There's going to be a ton of daylight left. Who wants to go home that early? Even on a Sunday. I've also had female newbies bitch about me not warning them to wear good shoes that allow them to stand on seats easily. Function over fashion (to an extent ) Angela, a Barra member friend of mine (but not BS member) is bringing about 12 people that flew up from Atlanta to see the game. I've got a few newbies from the ski resort I work at coming up for this. Some of you have raised the question about whether or not there will be a TV at the tailgate. This is up in the air right now. I need to talk to Scruggs. Not sure if I want to sacrifice most of my cargo space for TV stuff to only watch a half. Also, I want to get into the game early to take pictures from the upper deck of the opening tifo if there is any. I'll keep you updated. Is Oscar going to be back in town?
Most excellent, she dances well to the drums! Duffman, I saw something in Toronto that I would have acquired except that I would have had to tote it around all day and night: Barbecue tool set, 2003. Blue Ridge International. Stainless steel barbecue set with fork, spatula and tongs. Handles on the fork and spatula are replicas of Duff Beer bottles. "Heat resistant." "Dishwasher safe." Boxed. $15-$20. http://www.bartfan.com/kitchen.htm GM
Yes, she most certainly does. Thanks for the heads up. I might have to pick up a set to add to the arsenal of grilling supplies!
the usual If you're not there to be part of atmosphere there are some 100 other sections to be outside 135-137. And there are no letters N, I, C, E in Barra Brava. Don't worry about weird guy with camera, he means well
Oh yeah, I forgot. I've got a lot of rum leftover from the smoothie day. I will probably bring some sort of Rum Punch keg. When the summer ends, I like to switch it up from the margaritas. Can't wait to do Car Bombs in October! Not in keg form, but car bombs none the less.
there's nothing till Toronto, Revs and SLC is not worth it with limited resources. You're in clear for start, just get a few during game should be today or tomorrow
Attractive and single roller derby ladies eh? I'm digging the idea of a dame who could quite possibly kick my arse.
I'm at work listening to Dean Martin and thinking way too much about the game this weekend. Instead of "Volare" I keep hearing, "OOOH, Lot 8! OOoa-oooa ..." Probably no one else under 40 will appreciate that.
We will have two kegs there. Although remind them to follow Chico's rules of tailgating. Also I will need to have someone take the kegs and tap home with them. I go straight form the game to Dulles. I'll post a separate thread but I'll need someone to handle the keg for Wednesday. Oh and I got me one of these: http://www.biggreenegg.com/eggs_L.html But I am out most of Saturday so I am not sure what food I will be able to prepare ahead of time and bring I'll be briging a few guest including a couple 20 something single ladies. One of whome just tore her ACL playing soccer so she may need help from one of the fine strapping young Barra members to walk to the stadium or support to stand for 90+
