    GAM = GOW?

    it is hard to find on the MLSnet page...

    but i will make it easier so you can vote...

    the video isn't working for me either so just assume it is the best to give KC its first two-GOW year in its history (i haven't actually checked this fact out, but given our lack of love from the rest of the league...)

    You know we're not gonna win. He's up against someone from RSL, and we already know how much they stuff the box. Espindola's shot isn't even that great, and yet it's already leading.

    is William's goal not up for it? Figured they'd stuff it for that one.

    3 of the 5 GOTW candidates involve the Wizards. Unfortunately, 2 of them are us getting scored on....but still....

    I voted yesterday but the Espinolda goal was already dominating.

    On a side note, why wasn't Scott's goal last week even nominated? So much better than any of them on there...especially a PK. I don't care if the guy set a record, it was still a boring goal. Who decides these things?!

    This week's winner is:
    Eddie Johnson / KCW / 08.29.07
    Johnson hit a right-footed side volley on the turn with his back to the goal and knocked it inside the far left post to slim down the lead to 2-1.

    Wow. I'm surprised as hell. Zavagnin gets GOTW 5 weeks ago, and now EJ gets it. That's simply crazy considering a Wizard's player hadn't received the award at ALL in the 2005 and 2006 campaigns.

    Call me curious, but sometimes I kinda want to see exactly how close some of those voting results are. I wonder how much EJ won by.

    Last time I checked earlier today, it was 30% to 29% for the 2nd place finisher.

    Great job WIZ fans! And not a bad goal from EJ!

    It would be great if he can keep up his recent goal a game average - starting SUNDAY!
