jarrett - thanks for the tix. i was really impressed with the turnout and what has been put together in the depot for the 1st year! I think you have a very good foundation to build on. not quite as vulgar as we do it in dc, but... :D
my bro and his wife had a great time as well (it was their 1st soccer game), and I think they'll be back next year (as will I when I visit).

We realize we are in the "family" section of the bleachers and try to keep the vulgarity level low. For example, we do not sing "wings of a sparrow" :)

Our thing seems to be the rhythm section more so than the singing. I think people are more comfortable following along drumming than they are belting out songs.

It will come in time. I've been pretty impressed at how we've managed this first season.

totally agree. I was really impressed getting the back-and-forth between the two sections too. you got a good thing going - can't wait to see it evolve over the years.

So, the Railhawks finally play a Saturday game - but they wait to do it opposite the home college football openers for NC State, North Carolina, and Duke.

    Grrrrr....

I really wanted to make more games this season, but it's brutal trying to get to Cary from Carrboro on Fridays.

Seriously - more Saturday/Sunday games next season!

Based on the attendance, I think you're going to see less Friday games next year. I also think you're going to see more early Sunday games. They were very impressed with the gate, in the rain, for the Montreal game on the 26th.

Andy, out of curiosity, when was the last time you went to a soccer game and didn't take pictures? Can you watch a game without a camera in your hand? :)

During the World Cup, I was only shooting pre and post-game fan pictures with a wide angle lens.

We only had one field credential and I assigned that to Wade.

Yeah, after I posted that I remembered hearing the story that you guys were sharing credentials or something like that in Germany. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy ;)
