I've never heard such great comentation on a game before, I mean the PBP was really prepared, he could pronounce all of our players' names, even the hard ones like Toja and Sala. For an away comentator he really seemed to give an unbiased account of the game. The color was even better and the two worked together perfectly, it was like the Dave O'Brien and Marcelo Balbao combo at the World Cup... oh the memories.

The USSF, however, says that it'll be on October 3.

Denilson had flashes of greatness on that carpet. I can't wait until he gets in the groove on grass against professional opponents.

BTW, that in-game thread might be the funniest thread we have had in a while. Good stuff.

I don't have AIM and the USL stream seems to work better when I have everything else closed.

Dammit. I might have to skip school a couple of days for this one. I want to see them win something.

I just got back from the game; the stadium's actually pretty nice, except for that artificial surface stuff, but who pays attention to that anyway? :p

The fans were rather timid save the cheering section behind the goal. They'd hardly make a sound unless the PA guy heavily prompted them or they misunderstood a call (sure, it was Abby, but you'd think he was shooting puppies at midfield or something).

10k? It didn't sound like 10k, let alone 20k. Really, I give credit to the guys behind the goal for making sound, but everyone else was mostly sitting on their hands.

Oh, and I had the chance to speak with some of the traveling Inferno contingent...awesome for them to travel so far for the game, I've gotta say. It was pretty funny to see a giant Texas flag draped over the seats in the Sounders' building.

    Have fun in October.

just got back from the game, congrats to your guys, even though it was a heart breaker for us here in Seattle. Toja was impressive live, as was Alvarez. I thought Serioux was actually a step up on the back line, kinda made me wonder why he wasn't starting. I've slowly been coming around to Ruiz since he left the hated Galaxy, but tonight was a big step backwards.

It was a great advert for the sport in front of (for the Sounders) a massive crowd. I'd wish you luck against any team but NE :)

What was the atmosphere like for you guys, compared to regular season games?

The announcers seemed to be saying it was pretty pumped, but the online stream sounded a bit quiet, frankly.

I'm just gonna ignore the childish insults and congratulate you guys.
Just got back -- my first Sounders game of the year and FCD looked the pro team. The defense, no matter who was back there, was rock solid.

    Couple thoughts on your boys:

    Alvarez was great.
Denilson got caught being too fancy a few times in the first half, but by the second the moves were working and he was getting space. His short-range, flip-up passing is really impressive. Thought Ruiz should have scored earlier.
Serioux just completely shut down the Sounders strikers when he came on. He was better than I ever imagined having watched games on TV.

Good game. Sad outcome from our end. But Dallas is a class team. Not so sure about fans like the guy who wrote all of these insults, but the team is magnificent.

Well then, one fan to another, I'm sorry. I probably went overboard in having a go at "all the Seattle fans."

I called out your announcers because they were shit.
    Well, they were.

I called out your field because it is plastic.
    'nuff said.

I maybe shouldn't have insulted the fans at large, becuase obviously there are some quality Seattle folks out there. They were just generally "quiet" tonight, when so much has been made (mostly over at MSN&A) about their passion....thusly the "10k sounds like 20k" remark.....anyway, that's more what I had in mind. But if you took it to heart, then my bad.

Chalk it up to my being carried away in the moment, under seige mentality and all that.

PM me if you're ever in FCD territory and I'll be happy to buy a round or two...or three...
