Look it's up to the criteria of the MIB, period. It's whatever he thinks was or was not the intention of the player.

Didn't you excpect them to come out defend their workers?
    Of course.

Did you forget to read this paragraph?

This is funny, it's almost like the players union coming out against a player.

This is nothing then one hand washes the other, and they wash the face.

That's right, it was a back pass, not sure why some Sportinguistas are all upset, i guess they need another excuse for failing

You like the decision because it wasn't against your team. We don't like it because it went against ours. You're right in your mind, and I am right in mine. Bottom line, we lost 3 points. I have gotten over it - you might as well, too...

It amazes me that all titles become meaningless when Porto doesn't win them!

Yet every Tripeiro always manages to read off the resume of Cups they have won.

If you don't want to count this Supertaca victory for SCP, simply remove all the ones Porto has won.

Since they are meaningless:rolleyes: Or not the ones you need to win:rolleyes:

For all you Tripeiros who think the League knows what it's talking about...

    Here is LAW 12:

touches the ball with his hands after it has been deliberately kicked to him by a team-mate
The key word here is DELIBERATELY!

Ultimately it becomes a judgement call, if the ref thinks Polga DELIBERATELY passed the ball to Stojkovic. If anything what we have seen on the video is that Polga appears to tap the ball away from Postiga and toward Tonel who gets out of the way and it rolls to Stojkovic.

There was no intention of Polga passing it back to the GK, if anything he was poking it towards Tonel.

So Proenca was incorrect. The League has to show it's on the side of it's employee, but he was clearly wrong and as usual incompetent.

    biggest joke I ever heard...

anyone who knows the rules of the game know that was a dodgy call

look at the Sporitng- Belem game, a almost identical situation occured and sporting wasnt awwarded the foul for it..

so Polga intentionally backpassed? excuse me I thought he was intentionally slide tackling the ball from the Porto player:rolleyes: I know Polga is good but i didnt know he intends to pass the ball to another when he makes a slide on the floor

in the end its ok, 3 points lossed is no big deal if Sporting keeps playing well we can win the title since its the only trophy that matters to Porto fans, when other teams win the taca or supertaca or whatver its nothing.

The Ref was right, get over it. Did the Sporting player ball the ball to his goalie and did the goalie pick up the ball? Please answer that with a yes or no. :D
