Posh Spice is absolutely thrilled to be filthy rich and living in Beverly Hills. I have to say, I am flabbergasted by this unexpected turn.

Does anyone have any links to the original interview in the Observer?
You have to appreciate Becks' staunch unwillingness to be disloyal to whatever club he is associated with; sadly his defense of the Galaxy might have had more impact if they hadn't lost to RSL on Sat.
I doubt either of them (DB or his wife) have had as easy of a transition as he makes it sound, but MLS did well with "ambassador" Beckham in that he's good at knowing what NOT to say in public. (and he's almost certain not to embarass the league by getting arrested :D!)

shut up ! you are talking absolute bollocks!
ther isnt a club in south america to rival any of the top 10 european clubs, either on or off the pitch - if south american football is so damn good how come the best players end up in europe then and very few if any at all of non south american players end up playing in either Brazil or Argentina ?
    get a grip man!

That's why Sao Paulo beat Liverpool and Internacional beat Barcelona, to each win the World Club Cup?

can you honestly takle this tournement seriously ? it is nothing more than a money making scheme for Fifa and is never taken seriously by the European teams - its a quick way to make a fast buck - nothing more !
and by the way during the Sao Paulo / LFC match Liverpool had 3 perfectly good goals dissallowed - and were beaten by a single goal !
If this match would have been played with Fifa standard match officials and not the local guys who were out to make a name for themselves then the outcome in both of these matches would have been completely different.
Dont kid yourself - as goos as south american soccer is - it is way behind the top European leagues and always will be.

Are you going by that retarded tourny that they have in Japan every year. ... A bench player in Europe single handidly lead Boca Juniors to a championship. You make up for your lack of reality with passion... and that's almost as good. I'm fine with that.

Allright so we established all the best SA's go to Europe for the Money... therefore wouldnt they have a stonger league(s) for that reason alone. Also combined with the fact that the best players from the rest of the world also go to Europe for the Money. And also add the notion that the best coaches go to Europe for the Money. Is there even an argument here.

    Dear noob,

The first part of your statement, "South American soccer... is way behind the top European leagues" has a truth value, i.e., it can be determined by fair minded people working within an agreed upon framework whether or not it is true or false.

The second part of your statement, "and always will be" is an opinion and has no truth value because it is about the unknown and unknowable future. "Always" is a very, very long time.

    Get bent, sucker.

At least the MLS is competative unlike the EPL, every year you can predict the top 4, liverpool, arsenal, man u and chelsea, for us people supporting the lesser lights it becomes a bit tedious. Having now watched a few MLS games i think most of them would hold there own in the championship and Chivas and DC united could possibly survive in the lower part of the premiership.

sorry - 'get bent' - sounds a bit like Bart Simpson to me, then again maybe you are a 9 year old!
The second part of my staement will always run true unless the EU suffers an economic failure - not ever going to happen. The best players come to europe for a number of reasons - better pay, playing with a higher quality of player, etc - that just does not happen in south america. A player of a superb quality stands out and gaurenteed within 2 years will be plying his trade in one of the big leagues in Europe.
what i have stated is simple facts of life - I am not having a go at any one and i am not being derogatory- although judging by the replies on here this forum would be ripe for a bit of fishing - not my style.

and by the way is the term 'noob' supposed to offend as I have been
pulled up by a poster who has used this forum longer ? grow up!

also in responce to harry callahan's comments - yes i agree that MLS is far more open and not controlled by a big4 as per the EPL - thats one of the main reasons for its popularity (not forgetting golden balls), And also agree that the level has improved and is on par with the championship.
Its a shame that the seasons are out if sinc as it would be interesting to see a MLS play a top championship team on an even footing - would be a interesting sight!

If you would stop mistaking your opinions and suppositions about the future for facts we might have something to talk about. What the hell do you know anyway? Get bent, noob. Or, if you prefer, source or STFU.

By the way, re: simple facts of life, Grammar Nazi says you might take a moment and learn how to spell, punctuate, and, if the situation calls for it, capitalize. At that point you may find yourself in a position to lecture about what is and what is not a reasonable topic of discussion.

i believe you are a grammar nazi- i very sad person if your only way of replying to a message is to come out with this type of bullshit (Get bent, noob. Or, if you prefer, source or STFU.)
if you are refering to my point in regards to the EU suffering financial collapse being an opinion then i feel i am right in saying that this will never happen - its the 2nd biggest richest state behind China - fact.
this is a football (sorry soccer!)forum - not a grammar quiz - if my mistyping or lack of grammar offends you then tough - get a life!

now if you want to discuss the matter at hand - please do

    Damn guys, you're crazy.

Anyhow, it's nice to see Becks has got out back. Mickey Mouse league indeed. We're at least a Donald Duck league, or if not one of those weird Disney dogs things(Just kidding). But really, who cares that MLS is an exporter of talent. I hope one day our league will become the main exporter of talent from all of North and Central America. If they sell players to Europe at a profit, it means more revenue, which means, bringing in more talent, which means a better quality of play. Hopefully. Damn I'm dizzy.
