read elsewhere on USMNT N&A board that jozy was available this past weekend but bruce decided to give him a rest...anyone know if this is true?

on another note, jozy not getting called up to the brazil friendly is a friggin joke.

No, but I'm hoping it is. He's 17 and nursing an injury - get him rest before the stretch run.

I think it's friggin' awesome, but then again I don't want one of our most important players to be overworked heading into the playoffs.

My guess is that Jozy won't get his first camp with the senior nats til after the Olympics. And I hope to hell that I'm right.

Is Chivas Bornstein injured? I didn't see him on the roster.

and may Jozy not get called up until after the season.

I think it was one of those precautionary benchings. He has been favoring that injury since the U-20s and rather than ride him until he breaks down, he gave Jozy the week off.

Now if he isn't in the lineup at Chivas, then worry.

Rest him for a few here so he is fresh for the playoff run. Give him that extra week or to to make sure everything is fully healed.

Jozy wont even be playing for us this weekend so its not like Bob just didnt wanna give him a try.

BAS says that this weekend is not looking good for Jozy and he will probably sit our another game.

Doe is player. We saw a little glimpse in his first match, a little more this past weekend.

He looks like a guy that can make some things happen.

It's not like Jozy is going to do something stupid like go play for Haiti any time soon, so if he's not 100%, let him stay at home. He will be on the Olympics squad and get more than enough time with the senior team after that.

Freddy, on the other hand, should be in camp and get into the match so that we can shut Gioca up over on the USMNT board.
