you do realize this is professional soccer, not your kids U-12 team? The idea that Bradley is pimping his kid in the USA team is beyond absurd.

In defense, Kenny Arena *was* beyond absurd.

Does this mean all the West Ham midfielders need now also fear Spector's Mom?

Uh, let me get this right. Spector has been in the EPL for how many years, playing for how many teams? and he has how many minutes as a midfielder? And Bradley is an idiot for not playing him there?

    Wow.

I understand the Mikey plays too much criticism, but the "Coach is an idiot for not playing Spector at midfield" argument, well, that includes a lot of coaches. What crap.

    Bradley is an idiot regardless.

The second point however was not that Bob shouldn't play Mike but that Bob shouldn't have sat Jonathan for most of the Gold Cup to play others, who would have been available for Copa America.

The third point, and the one I had made with regard to Cherundolo, was that positions of a fullback and the defensive midfielder aren't that different in the skill requirements many players - Owen Hargreaves, Phil Neville, Phil Jagielka, Willi Sagnol, Marcel Desailly - have played both virtually interchangeably.

I think your post was crap.

But then I also think you were probably drunk when you had made it.

Bruce has no such excuses however.

Spector was only on for about 10 mins so although he was playing right side of midfield I'm not sure we should read too much into it. On the bench we had a CH, RB, LM, CF and GK so out of that lot I think RB was the most suited to come on to continue the type of role Bowyer had. I wasn't at the game as I was still away so that's just my guess.

From all accounts West Ham played well and it was a confortable victory.
I'm very pleased for the West Ham fans who attended, the allocation was sold out well in advance so their loyalty and support was rewarded.

Sadly I was sober. And again, there a loads of legitimate reasons to attack Bradley as a coach, but the fact that Spector got 10 minutes in one West Ham game at RM is not one of them. It's akin to arguing someone's strong foot in the face of all contrary evidence. Simply absurd.

FWIW, Convey played reasonably well during his time in the match. Most of Reading's offense during the final 15-20 mins went through him on the left side and he served a few nice balls in to the box, made a few good runs, and combined well with others to create a few interesting chances. He still looked a bit rusty (and tentative on a few challenges), but he looked confident in the attack and was much improved versus his play in the Sweden match.
