As stated in another thread, the only people that are frustrated are us who post on these boards. All the fairweather fans don't really give a shit, unfortunately.

Maybe most don't care because soccer isn't considered a real sport in the USA. For starters, it's not an American sport. It's a foreign sport and if it ended here in the USA, only a small minority would care. And, whoever decided to pay Bickman (or whatever his name is) more than $100,000 per year was stupid.

You strike me as being very, very, very intelligent. I'm positive your ideas are well thought out and foolproof and clearly belong in our forums. Please continue to come back, please.

    Good insight, thanks for that.

I know people say don't feed the trolls, but I just want to know...why the hell would this guy waste his time actually reading this forum, let alone SIGNING UP for it? Nothing better to do, maybe?

Lol I bet you this troll is HUGE about American Football, not realizing it is also based on a foreign sport (rugby, which, interestingly, is also related/derived from what? Soccer).

    So going by this:

    Association Football/Soccer=>Rugby Football=>American Football....yeah.

As Koz kinda said, realistic there is nothing we can do. I'd say we have the biggest portion of fairweather and "soccer mom" type fans. Which means, regardless of how bad we do we are always gonna bring in 20k fans a game.

Maybe if we lose all our big name players and go on a 5 year losing streak you might see some changes, but it's unlikely. All you can do is hope for the best.

Dude, this is the best post I have ever read. Either this guy is retarded, or he has mastered the art of sarcasm. Its kinda both things all wrapped up into one. Absolutely brilliant.

Dude this guy is 100% right. Soccer isn't a silly game or childish sport. It's a RELIGION, the biggest in the world.

    Do you mean:

    1) A sport that the Americans adapted from Britain?
    2) Why bother registering on a website called BigSoccer, when you could have registered on BigAmericanFootballWhichisJustRugbyforPeopleWhoDon'tLikeGetting
    HitWithoutBodyArmour.

I bet you couldn't pass a 6th grade English exam, even if it was based on the standards used in an inner city public school. That's not saying much if you get my point.

With that aside, I wouldn't argue that American football was derived from some other sport. Big deal. The American athletes advanced the sport by choosing to use their hands instead of running around kicking a ball. Any third world country probably has an empty dirt lot and something to kick around. Don't bother spewing similarities about rugby and football. It's irrelevant because professional rugby doesn't exist in the USA in similar manner that professional football exists. It's a great college sport (team or club) but nothing more.

Furthermore, I could care less that soccer is a big sport that the rest of the world enjoys. There are plenty of stadiums outside of our borders for that. Just don't expect it to displace football in the USA or anyone to care much if soccer goes away. For it to succeed as a professional sport in the USA, it'll always have to compete against American football and its fans who are willing to spend their time and money. Since soccer is low scoring and boring, it'll never have a chance.

    Hello GoBack!

Soccer is low scoring? What is football if you dont add by 7s? Dipshit.

"Go back" to your 6 pack of beer, buffalo wings and bucket of doritos.

Whats the talk of "outside of our borders" and "third world nation" talk? Soccer is huge in England which isnt third world, Soccer is huge in Poland which is not third world, Soccer is huge is Moscow, THE richest city in the world. Its always the uninformed that spew this sort of crap.

American football is for pu$$ies. The only reason why your football is big here is because of college scholarships. Take that away and 95% of your "athletes" wearing body armor disappear. Soccer definitely doesnt need your 380 lb players either.

And what again, makes soccer boring? Its 90 minutes of uninterrupted action. What is football? 3 seconds of play and 2 minute breaks? What? No chance to go outside and mow the grass during touchdowns? No chance to get another 2 litre coke to chug down and more buffalo wings? Go troll your mommy.

I take it that you have never played soccer before. You have to go back, I mean go out and play it to appreciate what professional soccer players are doing. Using your feet to play the ball and/or to score is much harder than with your hands. They call it "the beautiful game" for a reason.

I remember when Doncaster Rovers got relegated from division three into the conference, the fans did a mock funeral and laid wreaths at the goalposts.

    screw that

The bag on the head trick..... cute but tired.

besides that is so you can get attention, whose going to recognize someone with a bad on there head.

If your truly frustrated call in tomorrow nights Fox Football Fone in show.... And tell Alexi Lalas himself about what you think.

He supposed to be on the show, answering questions and fielding calls and emails.

Check out the thread I created earlier.... to get all the info.

I hope to hear you on.
