As many people are i am extreamly pissed of that Fabrizio was not seleced for the NT, the man is an italian legend and to me is the most underrated Italian stricker in our time!!!
Anyone else have any comments to this

I know you like him and he has played well and i would have preferred him called up, but have patience. this is just for the qualifiers. if he keeps playing like he is, he will be in the team well before euro 2008, and that is what really matters (well, assuming italy qualifies for the tournament of course)

I understand what you're saying, but for such a valuable match where player fitness is such a concern because it is taking place only two weeks into the Serie A season, it would've only made sense to select Miccoli due to his great fitness and performance up till this point! I mean, no offence to Di Natale, but did he even play last week against INter? And even if he played today, Udine ended up getting rocked 5-0!

I know we all love ADP, but I think it really is time that we try integrating some fresher legs into the squad. Miccoli has better pace that ADP, and as far as I'm concerned he can be just as creative and dangerous as ADP as well, if not MORE.

Good player, and a definite future call up.

However, in two games he hasn't really proved anything yet, despite his brace. If he proves to be consistent, then he will get called up. This is not the time for experimentation.

I never suggested he was. I'm speaking from what I have actually observed though and Miccoli is as good a forward as most teams could possibly ask for in terms of natural ability. He has great pace, technique, and can both score AND create scoring opportunities. He's just a solid all-round forward that is well deserving of a spot on the NT.

ive always followed miccoli, when he was with juve, fiorimerda, and mostly benfica when i heard the news when he transfered to palermo i was histerical!!
Miccoli is a player who can dominate on the field, hi is a very handy person to have, Alex DP is getting old now and we need to get him a replacement, miccoli or dimichele are perfect

by the way did u ever see his goal vs liverpool, he is a legend and if he isnt in your head than he will be soon

You obviously haven't followed him enough then. Just watch replays of that scissor kick goal he scored for BEnfica in last year's CL against Liverpool and then try telling me that again.
