I was there tonight. lacking some depth off the bench.
DeRo had some chances. glad to see him try to play forward.

I guess I'll kick things off here by hoping everyone got home safe, that rain got pretty intense after the game.

The ref really did suck tonight, he had no control over the game and was way too anxious to pull out those yelllow cards. I'm about to take a look at the tackle of Ngwenya in the box to see if that was a penalty, it sure looked like one to me.

Again I have to ask, where were the subs? I know we were limited tonight but after 80 minutes you have to make one or two subs to get fresh legs in there. As far as strategy goes, it seems all we try is the long ball or long through passes from midfield, not much quick passing action and very little wing play tonight. I bet we got hosed on one or two offsides calls but that strategy brings offsides calls. I wish Clark could have got more involved and even though DeRo was not in his normal position, I wish he would have produced more.

What was up with Johnson jumping the ad boards and talking all the smack?

I'm just overall really frustrated right now with my teams... aside from the Dynamo tie, Tottenham tied and UH lost. What a crud day for my teams.

That's just it - he didn't say anything that I could hear and I was only a few feet away from him. He jumped up on the boards and was just smiling and taunting the crowd and kissing his hands or something - very strange. Then some of the other KC players came over and stood there like they were posing for a picture. IMO, he should have gotten a yellow card for sitting there so long. The ref sucked.

I watched the game in OKC,OK on FSC.It was 58 degrees here at kick off.
Tough game. Good to get a point. Ngwenya and De-ro were work horses. The foul (possible penalty) was questionable. IMO, if we had a different Ref.,we may have gotten a penalty call on that one.Barrett was on with the couple grear saves he made.
We came out determined to win in the second half. The action was end to end. Great game and the TA/EB looked awesome.
With this point, we are still on top after the 4-0 loss Dallas got today.
With Brian and Jaqua ready to return, we have good reason to cheer. We just have to keep our eyes on Chivas.

YES Corey ASHE!!! why not put him on the bench and start WONDO!!! ( won't say more then last week...enough said about him..

so 3 minutes left in thegame and we substitute... maybe i should look towards Kinnear?? and not lashe out at a bad player... but come on..... we could have put Wondo in for a midfielder and attack more... we needed the win!!! but on a side note... FC Dallas Lost!!! YEAH!!!!

Just took a quick look at the game, the possible penalty was definately questionable, the KC guy got the ball but also kind of scissored Ngwenya too, so I'll give the ref the benifit of the doubt on that one.

What was funny was the post game show, you could see it was getting windy then at the end of the Ching interview it was raining... after the commercial break it was pouring the rain and looked really nasty (not very safe either) right after tossing to the guy in the press box, I assume so they could get inside, he said "it's dry up here..." then the signal went out. It was pretty funny. The FSC logo and commercials finished the last 10 or so minutes of the show.

I think it's funny there were only 9 posts here as of 7:40 in the morning. Usually there would be at least three pages, huh? But for one thing, it's a Labor Day weekend, I guess. The crowd was smallish, but besides the weather and the Labor Day thing, the guy next to me said it's the first day of league soccer. If he's right that would explain why all the guys that play soccer, as well as all their coaches, that sit around me were missing last night. There were lots of new people, and guys new to soccer, that were there last night. They were really impressed with the TA/EB, I heard funny things like "look at that, they're even throwing streamers!!" and "man, I don't think they ever sit down, do they??" They were also impressed with some very unimpressive passing, just because they were long balls.

Looking back at the game, I don't think we did much wrong, considering all the guys we were missing. I thought our mids played really great, Rico was excellent, I thought he would be the guy to give us the winning goal. There were tons of balls that got taken away in the midfield, and the defense (except with 1 minute to go in the first half :() was great too. We just don't have the guys to put the ball in the net right now. But as I type that, I know DeRo has made some excellent goals in the past, where are those now? And Ngwenya has a couple of goals of the week, but he couldn't get it past KC either. But usually we rely on crosses and then a shot and we don't have the guys to cross or the guys to receive, so that will take away some of our game, right?

I didn't understand the guys going over to Bandido after scoring either, the only thing I knew was that was going to get them a yellow, but guess I was wrong. The ref ran over there but did nothing. I thought maybe he would pull a yellow out for Bandido. Did yall see the time in the second half, he called a KC foul, they tried to restart it too far from the foul, he called it back and they restarted it again too far away, he started to call them back a second time, then made a motion like, "oh well, what can I do about it?" Stupid idiot ref.

Now, I have to make a plea one more time. I know I'm dumb, I set my dvd recorder to record Glenn's show, then the pregame through the postgame. But I didn't check the time on the recorder, we'd had a power outage the other day and it was 5 hours off, so when I got home it was just beginning to record. Damn damn damn!!! So for the second time, could somebody get me a copy of the game, dvd or tape? Pleeeeeeez? I have most of the televized games from last year, and all of them but the HDNet games this year, so if you would like to exchange for something, I can do it. I can also give you a copy of the highlight season ticket holders' dvd if you want it. Or I can pay you for the dvd. Whatever, but could somebody take me a copy Saturday? Please? Thanks, guys.

And, go Dynamo. (I dind't know Dallas lost 4-0. That's twice they've given up 4 goals now. Silly Dallas.)

I'm not sure what was the deal with EJ last night. I'll have to review the tape. all I know that after he scored it hit me like a ton of bricks, I was angry but just slumped in my seat. then he starts coming towards us with a big smile on his azz
I start to get mad and yell at him thinking: "no you didn't !! you are not going to celebrate your crap here!! "
Then he sits on those signs with his stupid look on his face, looking at me. the Ball n' Chain throws a streamer at his azz and starts cussing at him and gives the finger at him. he then blows a kiss at here  that SOB !!!!

    p.s.

Someone needs to explain what the hell did EJ mean by rubbing the forearm. I thought he was making a gesture of: "you guys are running out time" or "what you says rubs off me" but some tell me it had a hidden meaning??

Was he doing that to yall too? Because he did that at the half when they were interviewing him and all the fans were booing him, he was taunting us and rubbing his arm, weird. It makes me mad that I don't have the dvd to watch, I wanted to see if you could hear our booing during his interview. The loudest boos were at the beginning, and they were switching mics, probably to one that would edit out the "culeros" but we kept it up thru most of the interview. Seriously I've never booed so much in my life as during that game, I'm mostly hoarse this morning from the booing, not cheering, that's sorta sad. :(

Oh, and I saw Ms. Bandido throw the streamer, I had visions of the Royal Empress, in her royal box, throwing a thumbs down sign at a gladiator. "Death to him!"

Those guys definitely shoulda gotten a yellow. If you didn't see it, the Chronicle says that should be reviewed by the league. The Chron also talks about the sorry officiating, they hardly ever say that.

I give a big RED CARD to Bandido for not going over the railing and smacking EJ. When he scored, you see him look at me and I had a huge pissed off look on my face, so he ran to the other media whore. Had he done that in front of me, I would have been writing this post from the comforts of Harris County Lock Up.

On the game, I think it was a fair result. We really struggled early trying to contain EJ and Sealy. It could have been 2 or 3 nil, if not for the defense and Pat. We are missing a lot of guys right now and it is difficult for the boys on the field, who are being burdened with all of the playing.

Why are we not subbing? We have limited options on the bench. I have not seen Wondo do anything amazing this year, and with DeRo and Joe up top, I would rather keept them up top. Those two were hoofing it all game. I think tonight was probably the best that Corey Ashe has played all year. He was winning the ball and getting it wide. There were times he beat players on the dribble and sent the ball in. LAY OFF OF COREY ASHE. I am getting sick and tired of some people here wanting to bash him. He is a rookie and adjusting to the league, and on top of that, playing extended minutes because of the injuries. He will be fine.

I thought our goal was quality and that is what is important. We are still scoring with all of the injuries that we have. We are still getting results with all of the injuries. We will start to get players back and then it will take some time to get them back in sync, so come October, we will be fine. Fair result, EJ is a punka** and UH/5 Star promoted drinking and driving. Senor Cool still leads 1-0!!!!!

We were one of those families at a Labor Day Soccer Tournament in Plano. I have 8 season tickets and gave away 4 of them to a family that had never gone to a Dynamo soccer game. There are a lot of season ticket holders who were either in Austin or Dallas for Labor Day Cup tournaments.

It was a bummer that our hotel didn't have FSC but I kept up with the game on MLS.net. I tried to tune into 790 online but they had football on.

You know what? I don't think EJ did much to really gripe about, from what I saw he didn't taunt anyone and he wasn't disrespectful. I kind of laughed when he did it because I thought it was funny. It looked like to me that he was saying 'you Dynamo fans have no pulse!' - i.e. a dead crowd. The attendance was a little down last night and the home team didn't give us much to cheer for in the first half.

What Dynano fans should do is be glad that a player has the passion and the balls to try and give us some entertainment by scoring goals and providing us with some drama and video clips that will grab someone's attention on sportscenter that night.

EJ is a attention whore and I booed just like everyone else when it happened but he accomplished what none of the Dynamo players could do up to that point of the game - he got the crowd on their feet and into the game!

Players in the MLS not only need to provide us with quality attacking soccer, but they need to draw us in and make us care about what happens with their passion!

I wish KC / EJ hadn't tied us last night, but I am glad that I was there and got to see a good game with some memorable moments!

KC has a good team and the don't play negative soccer like alot of other teams who have come into town looking to play defensive.

The Dynamo just don't have enough offensive weapons right now. Thank God for the Ngwenya trade!

Ok, I could be wrong because my head is all fuzzy from lack of sleep. I seem to remember EJ having some sort of tattoo band that has something to do with his daughter. Maybe he was rubbing that tat in a similar way some players kiss their ring finger? Also, I know he had friends at the match so again *maybe* they were in that section somewhere. I am just trying to figure out something other than that he is a complete idiot.

And EJ is used to playing in front of crowds that have a pulse? That is funny to me. I like creativity and taunting as much as the next, but I think he overdid it a little. Just my 2 cents. Glad he didn't do it in front of me.

I won't debate whether KC has a good team or not but it sure seemed like "diving" is one of their weapons of choice. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

EJ made an ass of himself, not amusing and not imaginative, just pathetic.

Eddie Johnson was lucky I have been taught well on how to behave in stadiums by the Texian Army. he's lucky only one streamer was thrown at him. :p

Last night was one of those games where I wished I was sitting down front so I could have the opportunity to do a little player/spectator interaction.

This ref was the worst we've had all year bar none (and I think the one we had for the Revolution was pretty bad too.)

To many ref incidents to count but the one that particularly incensed me and the crowd around me was when in the 2nd half, one of our players gets fouled and Barrett goes to take a quick kick. Ref blows his whistle, stops play, and calls the ball back.

15 minutes later, exact same thing for K.C. Foul, quickly taken free kick, yet this time, no whistle by the ref. I'm telling you, everyone around me (including myself) went ballistic at the inconsistency of the call.

The nearside linesman too was a complete idiot. He didn't get anything right all game except one offsides call against us. And why he told the ref to give Ianni a yellow card was beyond me. Anyone know what it was for?

At any rate. Glad we got a point from a good KC team and Dallas can kiss that game in hand advantage goodbye. They wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. I'm more worried about Chivas USA behind us than Dallas.

Lord, please don't let that ref back this year. I've seen HFA refs that were a lot better than he was. And they don't go around looking for trouble like he did. Even my wife thought he was a hothead and said that she thought refs were supposed to calm things down. I said yeah, they're supposed to.....
