We're the loudest group of fans. ( rhymes with line two, so you get a nice quatrain.)

Could just sing a few of the original songs verses...ie when an oppsoing player gets booked with a yellow from the ref.
He's sung the yellow rose of Texas song from all of us in the North End while he complains to the ref about his booking.

I like this idea alot, but how to get the lyics and everything to the north end? and then convincing everybody to sing it. same thing with "deep in the heart of Texas" at 18:36.

As I've expereinced it....this process takes the willingness of everyone to WANT to do a song.
We're not asking folks to cure cancer just be open minded to some new songs that have a cultural attachment to Texas and have some fun with'em.
Vamos o ver lo k pasa!

I am originally from the UK and this has to be one of the most annoying things abot watching the Orange...lack of involvement from the crowd outside of the TA/EB. Its deathly quiet in the stands - heck, 1 guy at the last game turned around and asked that I "please not swear, my children are here". Then dont effing bring them, a-hole. This is football - its serious. People swear. If you want to sit around eating the famed prawn sandwiches, go watch the Astros or the other crap Houston team. Also, I wondered why the TA and EB sit right next to each other...if you are going to chant and sing all game long (applauded), then why not park yourself at opposite ends of the stadium and chant to and fro. Maybe others would join in more then? and it would fill up some of the seats in the often vacant end behind the other goal. Post the lyrics on the scoreboard too so we can all follow along!!

I do agree, though that the best way to stir the quiet ones here would be to go for something familiar a la Yellow Rose or Deep in the Heart...even at half time...just get people in the habit of singing at games and get some English speaking songs - we seem to have sold our soul to attract the hispanic market - there's plenty of us average-white-guys out there too!! Robertson is "intimate" enough to create a fan fortress...players can hear and see you villify them. That gives us a huge advantage and we should make use of it at every opportunity - you can totally affect a players mind if you constantly harrass him...and its a whole lot of fun into the bargain! Lets get some more opposition specific player songs out there too :D

But I digress...a whole lot as it happens :).
so back to the original question...

"....and united we will stand"? with reference to bringing together the various races/cultures of the city together under one Dynamo banner?

    It's true...I'm no Mike Joooones....who? Mike Joooones....:p

I did something to this back at the start of the season. I'll look for it on here.

This is what I came up with a while back. . .

    We're the mighty Texian Army
    We come to every game
We show our love for Houston's own
    We never shy away

    We're the mighty Texian Army
So hear us loud and clear
Cos' When you lose to the Dynamo
You'll know that we were here.

Feel free to take anything from that.
