I'll be in town for the Dynamo game on 9/16. I've never been to Home Depot Center before and I don't know anyone who is in any of the LA supporters groups. Actually, I don't even know much ABOUT any of the LA groups.

How's the status of away fans hanging out at pre- or post-game tailgates? I know it varies around the league and I'm sorry to say that our own SG is one of the less welcoming groups.

    Hey Jack,
LARS has away guests occasionally. We recognize the travellers efforts since we know what it's like to be an away fan in the MLS, too.

Bring beer, and you'll be everyone's friend no matter what color shirt you wear.

Lot 13, on the strip of grass along Victoria Street.
(THAT GOES FOR ALL THE REST OF YOU, TOO.)

    Suggest posting something here:
    LARS Event board.

That's because you are indeed a fan that pretends to be a supporter.

    Yep.

    He crossed the line.

The cool thing is that here in Houston we have enough supporters and don't have to worry about losing anyone. This maybe different in LAG circles.

CeltTexan pointed out my secret shame.

I'm only a fan who pretends to be a supporter... at every home game in the short two-year history of our team... and several >1000-mile road trips including both the east and west coasts. All of this means nothing, of course, since I have been known to play nice with other SGs (the enemy!!!)

All of that aside, if you guys prefer to keep to yourselves, I won't make myself a nuisance. All I have to go on is the way Kansas City and New England treat visiting supporters...er fans, and then on the other side of the spectrum, there's the way folks like CeltTexan feel about visitors.

I don't know anyone in LA, so that's why I was asking here. As far as the LARS forum goes, I'll wait till someone posts a pre-game thread and then ask my question there.

Tell you what, on your visit to L.A.; purchase a LAG jersey and then on top of the LAG match attend a Shitvas USA match and walk into their hinchada with that Galaxy jersey on for all to see.
Play nice with them cuz they are sure to play nice with you right.
To your surprise their are millions of other men in our U.S. sporting culture that avoid rival supporter groups. Just to be safe for our gear is all you have ever been asked to respect. Then the safety of you and others. Beer, rival SG's and barras can mix if they want. Yet all MLS needs is one night of bad press from one club bringing other rival members over for some chit chat and the shit hits the fan. Donovan coulda bagged a hat trick that same night but its some soccer bashers dream headline the next day that grabs the sports headlines and not what happened on the field.

You've got free will, I just ask that you use it in the mindset that is known the entire freakin' world over for pro men's soccer. Supporter Groups don't mix and big bad meanies like me want to keep it that way HJ.

Get over yourself, wannabe hooligan. We aren't Polish thugs or Argentine barras, and neither are you.
If Section 8 and LARS can chill after an away match in Chicago, your sorry whiny ass and limp supporters group can, too.

We also played Section 8 in a supporters group soccer match, because we hate each other so much...this is from 2006 and is the 3rd time such a game has been played...

Seriously, soccer fans in the US have far more in common than not.

We've had members jumped by Lesbion 1908 tools out in the HDC so shit can and will happen that us in Houston have not sought out to stir up. You can take your hooligan comments and shove where the sun don't shine.

This is about safety for those on both sides, not about looking to be hard cvnt got it Corky. All it takes is one drunk to spout off and then Barney Fife has all legal recourse to kick ass and take names. I don't want our TA gear to get hauled down for being linked with some other barra's dumbass moves!

In case you missed the point, it's not about making new friends and having beers with rivals who cheer for your team to fail.
It's about a dude that claims a SG or barra who looks to cause trouble within his own ranks. Your group agreed to play the Section 8 members did you not? That's called a mutual agreement between the ranks and a level of understanding and respect is held. Well done.

I'm thrilled that you guys had fun playin' with each other. Ha ha ha!

Sounds like you get off watching men play with each other. That's OK, I'm not judging you...I mean there is nothing wrong with you liking men, it's a free country. I heard Texas was pretty openminded about that sort of thing. I'm glad you found a place where you can be yourself, let your freak flag fly...more power to you.

    CT,
I actually think we are on the same page here, despite me making fun of you. All in jest. Chivas OG or lite are not like real people. Not your average MLS fans... It's best to ignore them altogether and maybe they'll go away someday.

I'll summarize it this way when it comes to MLS away support, if you come in peace, peace will be had. If you are a prick, you get treated like a prick.

    LARS rule # 1: Don't be a dick.

I've actually shared some brews with Chivas fans before in the lot at the Home depot Center just after burning a Chivas kit, so I guess there is hope.
