Can we make it 4 away wins on the trot? I doubt it, we have so many injuries. Fairly sur that Ashton is back and thank the lord for that.

No new transfer news at this time. Who will Shorey start for?

    C'mon you Irons. :D

According to SSN just now, Parker & Ljundberg are still out of the squad for tomorrow, but Ashton will start.

Parker and Ljunberg must be almost ready as they have been tipped to be in the squad for the last two weeks.

    Come on you Irons

ashton starting is huge for us. hopefully he can get in a good chunk of the game. i'll be surprised if he goes all 90, though, just based on how careful curbs has been with him thus far...

should be a great match! lets go hammers!!

Based on recent comments I will be surprised if Ashton starts. Maybe he will come on for the last 15-20 mins.

We have three right wingers injured and no-one to deputise in that area. We could bodge Bowyer or Noble in there but that means starting all our central midfielders. The only other option must be to start with Ethers on the left and Boa on the right.

I was hoping that we would at least buy another left back and a central midfielder, i.e. Shorey and Appiah. But both of these are looking increasingly unlikely. SSN are trying there best to make a big occasion of today and are counting down the last few hours. But other than Solano (who incidently I think may do well for us) I can't see us signing anyone. Aparently the latest on Giles Barnes is that Derby are grossly over pricing him.

So tomorrow I don't expect many, if any, new faces but I am concerned about the right side and central midfield. Apart from anything else what will we do when Dyer, Faubert and Ljungberg are all fit again?

i really dont think thats a problem, the chances of them all being fit together are slim to none

I'd love to see Gabbinon back in the team. Collins too, but it's a bit early for him after his groin strain. Greenie certain to be back after missing the Bristol game, but there is some doubt about McCartney.

Last year I had a terrible feeling about this match and we got a real drubbing. I don't think that will happen again.

It's on the box over here, so I'll be down the pub for a pint of Kilkenny. Enjoy the game and COYI.:D

A long, long time ago, I (and others) was worried that basically we had created a great midfield, powerful attack, but still had basically crap defenders.
Last year we were plagued by injuries and were unable to get a stable team playing together. How times have changed! We may have our attack crocked, our midfield is in traction or otherwise on the treatment table, but we still have our good old fizzy-pop defence
I think we're gonna blow this game badly (this usually means we put on a fighting show, win 3-1 and turn the corner for the whole season). Ive warned the wife and kids: tho my daughter will be wearing her new west ham shirt
    COME ON YOU IRONS
