    ....

Szetela becomes the second Clifton-born player to sign with a Spanish club this summer, joining childhood friend Giuseppe Rossi, who signed with Villareal earlier this summer. Racing plays host to Villlareal on Sept. 26th.

    ....

I can already see that 500-post thread now...with a human interest "childhood friends" story arc to boot. Good times.

    I have a question...
Do people say it's a good deal only because he can get first XI looks?

World Sport HD has La Liga too.

    I post, therefore I am.

    BigSoccer is its own reality.

What more do you need to know?

If it's true are people going to give Racing Santander the Lazio treatment? Ask Samuel Eto'o.

    It's a GREAT move because

he should get playtime faster than either Roma or NUFC.

he's in a very techincal league that will force him to improve his distribution and skills with the ball.

he's in Spain, our only REAL YAB there. Rossi wants to be Italian, so he is.

Can we at least keep the anti-Rossi tantrums confined to Rossi threads and not let them spill over into other discussions? Is that too much to ask?

Well that's a good move, its good to see he wants to play, and not just go out for the money.

So, is Roma the big loser here? Newcastle? Columbus and/or MLS?

I got the info from Wiki, they have all the squads from alot of the recent World Cups. And trust me, it's legit. And it's not about who produces talent capable of getting into a World Cup, but who can win a World Cup. That is the point isn't it.
Regardless of your obvious bias against Italian "divers" (outside of that call against Australia, I never remember thinking it was that bad), Serie A produces a brand of football that wins, period. BPL football produces quarterfinalists.

Wow, that came out of nowhere! Racing should be a great oppurtunity for Danny as Marcelino, the new coach, has made it clear he really didn't like the current squad. Vitolo was considered one of the better players last year in central mid and he was basically given away to Celta. Aldo Duscher, the ex-Argentine international, will definetly be one central midfielder, but the other spot looks open. Last week Gonzalo Colsa started, and while he is a solid veteran, Szetela may have more upside. Here is Marca's write up of the signing, along with Mohamed Tchite, a young striker from Anderlecht:
