    1) If we can hang with the Mexican League champions and come within a PK of winning the Superiga tournament, then there is talent on this team. The regular season play is inexcusable. Motivation and enthusiasm has been lacking during season play.

    2) When Cobi Jones enters the game, the midfield controls the ball more and our offense gets many more scoring opportunities. I know Jones has bad knees, but I think he could handle more minutes than what he has been given. Martino either hopes for a foul or causes one, he is a one-trick pony. Defenders Klein and Randolph create more Offense than Martino. The team has desparately needed more control from the midfield for many games now.

    3) I know we have had many injuries, but Vagenas and Gordon have been getting too many minutes. What have they shown this season? At least Buddle brings some passing/ball control skills and is more creative than Gordon.

    4) If Veris and Roberts cannot get the job done, why not try Harmes in Central Defense? Glinton can play midfield and offers more than these guys when he is in the game.

    5) Why did defender Abel Xavier handle such an important PK?

    6) After the game, Yallop again showed his emotional instability. He cannot handle the pressure of the job.

well, abel was our 6th shooter for the pks. out of all the rest that was left (randolph, gordon, glinton, and roberts), i would have gone with xavier too based on experience alone.....but still, his miss was disappointing.

You know, over the years I've always thought that LA had maybe the second sharpest group of fans: discerning, mature and soccer-saavy.

SO where did you come up with this guy? Jeez, talk about overwrought nonsense.

I agree the Galaxy needs a change up top, but not one of those points even remotely constitutes a legitimate reason why.

More overwrought than Yallop's face on the sidelines?

I'd rather Lalas be shown the door then Yallop.

If Yallop has to go, there better be a better replacement coming in. Klinsman is the only name I've heard that I'd find acceptable.

And still, if Yallop has to go, Alexi Lalas better not stay.

I would go with the next most experienced shooter...Gordon or Glinton would come to mind first, not a defender worn-out from covering for inept play beside him in Central D.

Then what are your reasons for the need for a change up top?

I find Klinsmann more than acceptable. Team USA was after this guy. With Beckham possibly out, I think now is the time to start building for next season.

Thank you for voicing your opinion, especially right now during a time where some self-proclaimed "old timers" deem Yallop deserves to stay. I have no problem with people disagreeing. But for them to say the "new comers" arguments are basically invalid, it's BS. I did not know "fandom" has ranks based on seniority.

But your FIRST point alone is enough to get any coach fired. You are correct, a coach cannot be a good coach if he cannot motivate or get the best out of the players. Period. That and that alone is enough for me to say it's time for Yallop to go.

People blame Lallas for the personnel fiasco. I say Yallop must bear it too. You're a coach, you have to tell the front office to give you the tools you need to succeed. And you get involved in that process too. Plain and simple.

Don't say Yallop had nothing to do with players acquisitions. That's BS. Half of our roster is non-professional players. It's also Yallop's fault, not just Lallas'. FIRE YALLOP.

On this point, are you absolutely CRAZY. Buddle had no control at all. He lost the ball 95% of the time he received it, dribbling needlessly until he found a Pachuca player to take the ball away. And I don't remember one pass completed..and then the breakaway. ai yi yi. Creative?? I laugh at you.

It was like watching a 10 year old play.

Watch the game again, you will reconsider.

I happen to agree with you on your assessment of Buddle. In a seperate thread, Buddle is on top of the list of players that need to go. I love it. I had heartburns, heartaches or what have you with Jaqua. And now Buddle and Gordon. Why do I have to be and continue to be a LAG fan, I ask myself.

I'm no fan of Gordon, but I think he would have been the better choice. Yes, Xavier is more experienced and a quality player, but taking sog's is not his strength.
Ultimately, Lando should have nailed that one.... there's really no excuse. Tough loss to watch.... especially when surrounded by endless chants of "Tuzos....Tuzos."

why in the world did we let go of nate jaqua earlier in the season? did we trade him or just release him? wat a dumb move to let go of him...plus has anyone else heard of anything more about Zidane coming to MLS and possibly the Galaxy?

Saying stuff like that around here will get you KILLED. They hate Jaqua here...I have no clue why, especially in light of our current forwards.

I'd say 1 & 6 at least are legit points.

Jaqua made us hope Gordon would get fit enough to start. Can you believe that?

Here's another thing about Yallop and our performance last night. I missed the opening 10 minutes so someone correct me if I'm wrong. It seems to me that it would make a lot of sense to run at the center of their defense just outside the 18 yard box. Martino and Donovan would be perfect for the task...run at the defense looking to get tripped up.

Last time I checked we had one of the best if not THE best free kick artist in the world on our team. It should be a part of our tactics to try and get fouled outside the 18 looking to setup Beckham.

Now, I don't have a problem with it not working...but I do have a problem with not even trying. I never once thought that was a part of our tactics. Given the fact that we have forwards who can't score this seems like our best shot at a goal. They obviously were going to control the game with their ball movement...but we could have countered and looked to get fouled. It happened quite often in the second half when Cobi came into the match.

This game still pisses me off. It was a very winnable match and a coach that spends time on the little things would find a way to win that game.

    klinsman our new coach

I think that we need Klinsman to coach our not so great galaxy team, I think that this year has been a disaster, the coach will pull out the wrong player out of the game, in the pachuca game he pulls out Pavon and brings in Cobi, he should let this two play together I think Cobi is a great playmaker and thats what Pavon needs, someone who gives him the ball so that he can score at the end pavon could have been a better shot at pk's, Yallop needs to go back to coaching school, the team with Donovan, Cobi, Pavon and buddle on the field would be a better team.

I agree...the substititutions have been awful. Pavon and Budlle would have received more quality balls with Landon, Cobi, and Becks on the field at the same time. Why did we go out and get these guys if we weren't going to use them properly?

His header before the Klein bicycle kick was almost the equalizer. We looked a lot better when he and Cobi were in the game.

Wasn't that header, off the post, that led to Klein's goal, by Randolph?

Yallop has to go because he let tradition die. I went to the semi-final when beckham scored his first goal and was happy just as an galaxy fan would be, but i was disappointed when hearing that landon had been stripped of being captain. You just can't hand over something like that so easily, otherwise, what are you saying for team morale
. If i played for the galaxy i'd be disgruntled to say the least.
