KC @ Houston Pre game. FSC game.

Ok, let's get the RSL performance out of our heads.

We play Reigning MLS Champs Houston on Saturday on FSC.

Dalglish, Ching and Davis are out with injuries.
Jacqua is out with yellow card accumulation (at least I think he is)

Houston has 1 MLS win in thier last 6 MLS games.
KC has 2 wins in their last 6 but were only 1-0-4 in August.

We'll have Davy back. yay. I expect he starts.
Know that Onalfo seems to like Morsink, I expect he starts again.
Since Action Jackson has not played for a while, I don't expect he'll start.

Lineup we could expect to see...

    -------------Hartman--------------
    Raybould--Conrad--Garcia--Burciaga
    -------------Morsink---------------
    Arnaud-------------------Harrington
    -------------Marinelli--------------
    ------Sealy--------Johnson--------

Victorine, Jewsbury, Movsisyan, Zavagnin, Kronberg, Colmbano (if not out), Wahl

I say sit Zavagnin for a game. If Eloy not hurt, he'll come one... i'd except Victorine to come on too. I'd like to think Davy-Eloy-Carlos combo could work really well. Hopefully we'll see Yura in the last 20 to 25 minutes.

I think we could also probably see Arnaud up top for Sealy(to bench) with either Eloy or Sasha starting.

Not surw hey Morsink has been starting lately, but he doesn't seem too bad to me. I think he can provide the same role as Zavagnin though.

The best part is that I think we now have 15 guys that can be starters for this team.

Now, let's go beat Houston and show the league we aren't dead.

Houston is short on players right now, Holden, Davis, and Ching are all starters, Jaqua is an occasional starter, this is probably one of the better times to play them. That said I'm not overly optimistic, it's the Wizards in August.

Technically, it will be the Wizards in September. Hopefully, flipping that page on the calendar will allow to Wizards to "flip" the page on their play of late as well.

Well your luck has turned around my friend.

Now if we could just get Rovert to spell his months properly we'd be massive.

you're right, my bad, but still it'll take a much better performance tomorrow to get points off of Houston.

There's no doubt the first goal is critical. I think it would do amazing wonders for our confidence if we could ACTUALLY SCORE FIRST for a change!

2006--we win in Houston (off Jose's laser), Houston wins in KC
2007--Houston wins in KC earlier this season.......win for KC in Houston????

Let's get a win under our belt before another break. Hopefully we will do better coming out of the next week off.

    Here's my prediction:

2 Dwayne De Rosario (Joseph Ngwenya)
8 Dwayne De Rosario (Ricardo Clark)
    12 Joseph Ngwenya (unassisted)
    13 Joseph Ngwenya (unassisted)
31 Stuart Holden (Dwayne De Rosario)
    36 Wade Barrett (unassisted)
46+ Dwayne De Rosario (penalty kick)
47 Dwayne De Rosario (Ricardo Clark)
    52 Joseph Ngwenya (unassisted)
53 Patrick Ianni (Dwayne De Rosario, Ricardo Clark)
60 Dwayne De Rosairo red card
    60 Ricardo Clark red card
    60 Joseph Ngwenya red card
    60 Wade Barrett red card
    60 Stuart Holden red card
    93+ Pat Onstad (unassisted)
Final score: HOU 11 - KC 0. The 6 man Houston Dynamo defeating the 11 man Kansas City Wizards. Notice that the Wizards have 30 minutes of 5 man advantage and still can't score and conceed the stoppage time goal to the keeper.

Alright. Now that I got that out of my system, there is no way I can feel bad about this game. Houston is missing a bunch of key players, we are getting all of ours back for this game. Let's hope we can bring home some points. Go Wizards!

So where has Jack been the last few games? IMO he has been one of the most consistent players on the pitch? Did I miss something?

he's been decent, nothing earth shattering. I think he's just being rested, or Onalfo isn't happy with the way he's been playing.

I'd guess it's just the former. I think we'll see him start.

    -----------------Frosty-------------------
    --JJ-------Jimmy------Nick-------Jose-----
    ------------------KZ----------------------
    --Davy---------Carlos----------Harrington--
    ---------Eloy----------EJ---------------

Depending on Eloy's fitness, Sealy/Yura on at half...Sasha comes on for Harrington or KZ if he has another disastrous game.

    2-1 Wizards.

    -------------Morsink---------------

To me, neither Jewsbury or Raybould has proven they can play the spot consistently enough. I think along with midfield help, getting an impact RB is the best way to improve the current team.

I like a lot of what Jack can do. It sucks he's had to play virtually every position since he's been a pro. Defensively though, especially in his positioning, he has seemed very inconsistent to me.

Is there a rule saying you have to have so many people on the field to play? I don't even know. If I was up 10-0 I'd stay on the field if I could even if my team had 6 people left. *shrugs*

C'mon, don't tell me you haven't done that thing with the old FIFA games where you get pissed off because you're losing (Normally this happens just after you pump up the difficulty level), so you just slide tackle the keeper a ton of times, away from the ball, until you forfeit the match so that way at least the computer won't have the dignity of winning AND finishing out the match.

...that's how I learned the "7 players" rule.
