Puerta was a talented player and it see truly sad to see such a young promising player and human pass away. But if its any comfort, he passed away doing what he loved. I suppose death can for anyone at anytime in the most unlikely form. It is indeed the harshest realities of life. On behalf of all the football fans our thoughts and prayers remain Puerta's family.
Very sad! I'm still surprised however, how he was allowed to walk off the pitch on his own? Anyway, RIP! http://www.soccer365.com/EUROPEAN_NEWS/Spain_News/page_181_148731.shtml
Gooooooooool De Puerta!!!!!!!!! 2006 UEFA Cup Semifinals, 2nd leg Sevilla -v- Schalke 0-0 on aggregate 10 minutes into extra time Two UEFA Cups followed. R.I.P. Antonio Puerta
RIP Antonio, my condolence for his family and friends! It is terrible to see how is dieing a young human. I hope the FIFA is thinking about generally intensive check ups for Futbol Players.
Re: Gooooooooool De Puerta!!!!!!!!! To me, that goal is what got Sevilla started on their remarkable run of five trophies in 15 months. Antonio was in the Sevilla system for 14 years, nearly 2/3 of his life. He lived and breathed Sevilla FC. He's going to be greatly missed. RIP
After this i think God punishes people for nothing as there are murderes that get away with things then there are people that have something in there life and they die doing there job
Can you really call Puerta's untimely death a punishment from God??? I mean, none of us really owner of our life, God is, he gives life and he has the right to take it away. Besides with the world is these days sometimes its hard not to wonder which is better to stay alive or to just die. And we are all going to die one day anyways, it is inevitable, the only question is how, Puerta passed away doing something he loved, the sad thing is that he passed away too early in life. Someone here is right God does work in mysterious way and questioning it and analysing it is only going to drive us mad. We just have to accept reality and move on while wishing his family and friends the best.
UEFA Super Cup Sevilla v AC Milan Pre-kickoff moment of silence. Note the shirts all have Puerta's name on the back.
