Oooo, I can't wait to get my lunchbox. Maybe we should rename Gordon "Lunchbox", because he moves like one.

Even if we are the suck right now, I'm really looking forward to this game. Sad that Becks is unlikely to play, but I'm going to see the Galaxy, baby, YEAHHHH!! WOO HOO!!

Sorry, way too much caffeine this morning.

Hard to say if we play better with or without Beckham. He clearly helped us beat DC, but without him against Pachuca (2nd half at least) we played like we were top in the league. I think we rely on him a little too much sometimes. You can see when our players just keep passing to him over and over and he just passes it right back.

Before the SL final I would have thought RSL would kill us seeing how they played against KC. BUT! If we can play like we did during the final we should have a good chance of winning. Nice to see Findley back at the HDC!

For those of us who rather stay to watch the game on TV, I have bad news...

Apparently this game will only be broadcasted on HDNET  and will not be picked up by FSN, KWHY Ch 22, Univision or Telefutura. I guess we're not going to witness the massacre that RSL is going to do us

    God bless HDNet!

I say give Glinton a start up top. Bring Kirk on for Cobi when he is spent. Let Landon run the show from the middle again.

    Klein---X---Roberts---Randolph
    ----------Harmse------------
    Cobi------------------Martino
    ---------Donovan-----------
    Pavon------------Glinton----

Isn't Harmes out as a result of the red card against Chivas USA?

He already served his suspension vs Colorado last week. He wasn't given any additional suspension by the league

    Brilliant!!!

Lunch Boxes before a game, I wonder if it will end up like TFC's match with the seat covers, ofcourse a lunch box could do some damage.

Pretty good lineup. Id go with it. Considering what we have to work with. Hopefully Yallop forces Pete to stand in front of goal and the entire team practices PK at him all day long today.

Its tough for me to get excited for this game, especially hearing how RSL manhandled "the wiz".

Yeah, I watched the 2nd half of the RSL - KC game. Their new Argentine players are pretty good.

IF we don't suffer an emotional let down for this game (I mean, to go from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows is very draining), then I think our pride and determination set in and we win this game. The guys have even more to play for...I don't think they're giving up on this season, and now having lost the SuperLiga title, they'll be more determined to do the impossible and get into the playoffs.

    We win 2-1.

I say we just push the game from the beginning to the end (forget this pushing for just the last 20 minutes)...no sitting back or just playing out of the back - for the rest of the season. We have nothing to lose at this point...and I would rather go out of the season fighting instead of just limping along. Nothing boosts moral more than scoring goals!
Last night we showed we have the fight and heart still in them...I believe they can make something out of this season yet...GO GALAXY!
Forever optimistic and will cheer them on until the end!!!

Can you imagine how beat up and tired the team is at this point? 120 minutes on Wednesday...

If we weren't playing at home, I'd say we were in trouble. As it is, I think we pull out a draw.

This will be very interesting from a coaching perspective. Who starts, who sits, what tactics to use. Jesus Kreis!

    Hey Becks? no

Just wanted to throw this out there.

Galaxy record since becks - 3 wins..... 8 loses..... 1 tie.

Galaxy record with becks playing - 1 win..... 5 loses.

I know he has been hurt, but at some point David Beckham has to be a responsible footballer. When he cant go, he cant go. The record shows when he is not fit, the galaxy lose.

And although I started a thread last night about not being mad at Donovan. I will not afford the Great Goldenballs that same priviledge.

He was a tremedous disaster out there before he got hurt. He blatantly didnt tackle or put any effort on defensr whatsoever. I am not the only one who noticed the play in the midfield sprang to life when he left the pitch.

I dont fault a player like Vagenas for his own goal, it sucks I know, but Pachuca could and should have claimed a dozen goals as they were pressuring us allover the pitch last night. But Vagenas did something becks doesnt do.... play defense. Hustle. Challenge.

I think from here on in.... this injury to becks is the best thing that could have happend to him, the team, and for Frank Yallop. Who now gets to coach his squad minus all the BS media pomp around goldenballs. In fact if Becks would like to not be present on the bench during the rest of the season, I for one wont miss his mug getting plastered on to the screen every 15 seconds taking away from the action on the field, as super twat directors in the booth who have failed to live up to their dream of being the next scorcese or spielberg pan onto becks with camera 5 to get his reaction shot.

I think the boys have a 2nd chance at life again after last night. I dont why I am more excited about there chances now, than I was 24 hours ago. but I am.

Its Donovans team again, he knows what he has to do. The players know they can play when there hearts are in it. Hopefully Yallops frustration purge after the game last night is what he needed, and the finger is off the trigger til we see what he can do with the team he has and knows for the remainder.

The Great distraction is gone for now.......... its starts today and should be about total football. total soccer. total focus. total commitment.

The Galaxy was suppose to have atleast 20 points at the time Beckham came in. We were suppose to be a good team, so Beckham could have made us Great. The FO just F'ed up, this sounds old but they don't make any changes!!!!!

Free lunchbox? Now I've heard everything. Even with all the hoopla & money spent on Beckham the Galaxy are still floating around the bottom.

I wonder why the game won't be on television?

Have the "sports" channels (ESPN, FOX, etc) already become disenchanted with the Beckhamania and returned to their delusional thinking that somehow hot dog eating contests and five card poker games are "sports" worthy of being broadcast on a Sat or Sun afternoon, rather than an MLS game?
