i like this word "investment" cracks me up...sometimes i seriosuly believe people forget they are talking about a footballer...or soccer player should i say Sorry i am from England, but i spend alot of time in the US and i have been watching the MLS with interest for a little while. First of all i feel i should apologise to the MLS and all its fans! its great to see the game over in the states is developing, and i must admit i kinda laughed and thought it was great that beckham was shipping off to LA and hollywood! where he has always belonged. Now i feel bad because he is going to have the opposite effect on the game to what everyone in the USA thought he would have. Since beckham has been in LA the MLS has become a bit of a joke and laughing stock unfortunately. Its sad cos i know alot of ppl have worked hard to get the MLS to where it is now. Beckham is the most over rated player in the history of the game....hes not a bad player but hes far from a great one. he is the best player in the world when hes NOT playing and i know he knows that himself! he loves to play the hero, thats why in every single game he limps around playing the injured war hero. Ive never known any player to have a sprained ankle for 5 months! im not saying he hasnt REALLY busted his knee this time but i wouldnt be surprised if theres nothing wrong with him. Theres no way in this world that he can live up to anywhere near the the hype he has created and he knows that to! anyway i see where this investment word comes from but $6.5 million for 310 mins work - thats an investment to mr beckham and NOBODY else. I hope one day all you see the real david beckham just dont be too disapointed. ok rant over lol
