Atiba Hutchinson scored a goal for Copenhage in the first leg of their Champions league tilt with Benfica. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAQA0LFHFF0 somewhere around the 3-4 minute mark in the video Benefica went on to win 2-1 and 3-1 total between the two games
Man I'm still waiting on Hutchinson to move to a bigger club soon. Doesn't look like it will happen in this transfer window though.
He received a YC for arguing after the ref. failed to call a PK when Atiba was brought down in the box. Apparently also had a great FK, but no dice scoring.
Hutchinson is playing in the UEFA Cup against Panathinaikos. 0-1 Panathinaikos after 22' Game is probably available on Sopcast at www.myp2p.eu
He won't be sold unless he demands a move. FCK are one of the richest clubs in the world (seriously) so they don't need to sell players like a feeder club. FCK is a decent fit for Atiba, he'll get to play in the Champions League every year.
FCK are the richest in Scandinavia but far from being one of the richest in the world. Also they are not a lock to play in the CL every year, the CL qualifying rounds are pretty tough and I think they were eliminated by Benfica this year. I sure hope he tries to get a move somewhere next summer, he's outgrown FCK, and needs to progress his career.
I think devioustrevor was referring to getting into Champions League qualifying every year. Where as if you played in the BPL you pretty much have to be one of the big 4 to make Champions League qualifying. One can probably argue that teams in the mid levels of the BPL are as good as or better then FCK but they will never experience the CL unless they knock out one of the big boys. Thats just how she goes.
Not too long ago I read a report about football finances that had FCK having something like the 8th highest revenue income in Europe. Something like $160M a year. If I recall the only clubs ahead of it (in no particular order) were: Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus.
I know what your're talking about but revenue can be quite a misleading figure and there are a lot of other factors to take into account. Of course revenue doesn't equal profit so it'd be much more accurate to look at income. here's a list I got from BBC for 2006 1(2) Real Madrid £186.2m 2(1) Man Utd £166.4m 3(3) AC Milan £158m 4(5) Juventus £154.9m 5(4) Chelsea £149.1m 6(7) Barcelona £140.4m 7(9) Bayern Munich £128m 8(10) Liverpool £122.4m 9(8) Inter Milan £119.7m 10(6) Arsenal £115.7m 11(12) Roma £89m 12(11) Newcastle £87.1m 13(14) Spurs £70.6m 14(17) Schalke £65.8m 15(-) Lyon £62.7m 16(13) Celtic £62.6m 17(16) Man City £60.9m 18(-) Everton £60m 19(-) Valencia £57.2m 20(15) Lazio £56.1m as you can see FCK is not in the top 20.
