Crappy team, high prices, expensive parking...they must be turning them away in droves.

I'm in agreement with what needs to be done in Flapjack's post in the "future" thread. If I see that the ownership recognizes that they've made mistakes and that they are trying to make amends to the fans, I'll renew. If it's just business as usual and another round of price increases I'll probably let my tickets go.

Can anybody honestly say they didnt expect this? It started with raising ticket prices last season. Then there was the rebranding of the club. New colors, new kits, new logo all = $$$$$ for AEG. Then there was raising parking prices at the HDC. AEG has a gold mine in the LA Galaxy, and as long as Beckham is on that roster, they can milk this team for all its worth. AEG could not have picked a better spot or time to own a team. LA and the surrounding subburbs are pretty affluent areas. People will buy tickets/jerseys/jackets/whatever as long as it is associated with AEG's Golden Nugget, David Beckham. Im sorry, from a business perspective, I think AEG is cashing in. For the fans it sucks. The loyal fans, those who have been around since the begining of the MLS when people said this wont last, those who supported the team and drove hours to see them at the Rose Bowl, those who remember when players like Cien, Hurtado, Califf and others played, we are the ones who get hurt by all this. Because for every one of us that exist, there are 10 people ready to jump on the band wagon.

AEG has proven time and time again that they dont give a crap about their fans. They want $$$ and lots of it. Does anybody remember last year when Madrid came and all the season seat holders were conveniently bumped to a different section so their seats could be resold at double the price? I do. I sit in section 108 and was moved to a corner section. I have to say I was pretty pissed about it. I wasnt even offered the option of paying the difference. I was just one fan last in the shuffle of the thousands that were willing to pay double or triple the price to see Madrid.

I expect more of the same to follow. I hate being a pessimist but I would venture to guess that my seats in 108 will go up to 1000 per seat next season.

Are we getting them for the same price next year? If so I'll start saving up the money. If not I'll think twice.

Do you have 2008 pricing yet? Usually seems to be pretty late in the process that they hook up LARS.

Hope they sort that out early so LARS can put some work into growing the group.

I called. I said I don't know because of the current situation. I mentioned Klinsmen. He said, "that would be awesome if he did become the coach!"

Nothing like your own ticket reps showing confidence in the current system. :D

Riot Squad seats: 20 games $750
    Sideline seats: 20 games $980

Riot Squad was 20 games (really ended up being 19 because of Chelsea double header BS) for $480

    So approx $24 a ticket

Now it's $37.50 a ticket. a 36% increase (assuming you actually get 20 games which they lied about this season.)

Way to grow your fanbase AEG...

If this is true....I'm rather speechless.

EDIT- As noted below...my math is wrong the increase is more like 56%

IIRC the 2006 sideline seat was $770 (which I got this year because of early renewal). The 2007 sideline seat was $880 I think.

    Supposed 2008 prices:

    Package
    Fieldside $3180 ($159/game)
    Sideline $960 ($48/game) up 9%
    Corner $730 ($36.60/game) up 11%
    200C $620 ($31/game) up 11%
    Endline $530 ($26.50/game) up 10%
    GA $410 ($20.50/game) up 8%

It'll be interesting to see if they give LARS a discount again.

If these prices are correct, they actually don't look all that bad to me.

Not bad? they are on their way to possibly the worse record ever in MLS, certainly one of the worse 3 ever. Miss the playoffs for the 2nd straight year. Don't include the "premium" friendlies as bonus tickets for STHs and that acceptable?

IMO they should at the very least not raise the price on renewals until they make the playoffs again, just to show a commitment to the fans that are showing a commitment to the team.
aren't they already the most expensive ticket in MLS?

This is some ********ing bullshit. I will not renew for that price. What in the ******** makes them think this product is worth more. If anything they need to reduce the prices They are going to lose ALOT of the long term fans, especially the ones that made it possible for this league to still be up right now.

They always go fast....they say that every year...and every year there are still season seats left right before the season starts.
