Pounds: 36,935 36,935 pounds!!! Come on folks, we can do better than that I bet if Lonnie hadn't tossed those bags into the truck we would have easily cracked 40,000 KGDG Come On United (States and DC) www.screaming-eagles.com 99 bottles of beer in the mud...
Come help put us over 200 participants picking up in the District this year! And let's see if we can beat this "puny" pile: Please drop me a note at outreach@screaming-eagles.com if you want to add to the pile. KGDG Come On United (States and DC) www.screaming-eagles.com Who can fill up the most bags?
Re: Pounds: 36,935 Lonnie doesn't bowl. He never has and he never will. He will hang out in bowling alleys with friends, but all he will do is be your beer fetcher. And make funny commentary. The more beer you've drunk, the funnier he is
Don't forget to tear down that ugly billboard on Howard Road in 70's rainbow color style that reads "saveanacostiapark.org". Almost as annoying as people who plaster "save the environment" type flyers over every light pole in a neighborhood, thereby visually ruining our environment.
Who will find the coolest artifact this time? Perhaps we'll have a contest KGDG Come On United (States and DC) www.screaming-eagles.com Look, I found a fossil...
I had no idea that our impact would be so immediate Barry furious with Fenty over Poplar Point Seriously, though - this is just one more community event in which DC United fans can make a splash, so to speak. I certainly don't remember all those folks pushing for Baseball in DC out cleaning up along the riverbank. So come join us as we demonstrate how DC United fans don't just talk a good game, we get right down in the muck as well KGDG Come On United (States and DC) www.screaming-eagles.com How many bottles can you find along the shore?
I have thrown my back out, so I can't participate this time ....... so I would encourage someone out there who is considering it to take my spot. It is actually fairly rewarding, personally. It really is kinda fun to see what weird thing you might find. And the numbers of needles and condoms are surprisingly low
Get your butts in gear - or gear up to pick up butts! FB is right (and we will definitely miss him at this event - although perhaps we can convince him to come anyway and hold a clipboard while others of us with weak minds and strong backs pick up the debris ), for this is what you are more likely to find in abundance: There is plenty to be done - and every pair of hands is a huge help! So, please consider joining us for this community effort on the 15th. KGDG Come On United (States and DC) www.screaming-eagles.com 98 bottles of beer on the beach, 98...
