Better than some heartless piece of shite...Honestly we can keep on signing some old farts or good players who give a rats ass or we can sign guys who would freaking do anything to win?

Desire and Ambition is something teams like : NE,DC,Houston, and Dallas have their players play as hard as possible ours don't care it's simple.

Vide just isn't good.. i dont think he has the skill... he might havbe the heart but he doesn't have the skill... maybe bc he's young? i don't think so....and i said it in another post... the reason the team plays the way they play is simple... it's the coach.. .Bruce sucks.. he doesn't know how to coach a team... the way the Redbulls have played of late reminds me of how the USMNT played in Germany... they play like individuals and not a team...Bruce needs to do something

Vide while a hustler has no technical skills to speak of. He's a poor distrubuter of the ball and usually over exerts himself, putting himself out of position in key moments. While I enjoy his heart, he shouldn't be a starter for us.

I'd protect JPA, Jozy, Clint, Dema, Mathis, Parke, Stammler, Freeman, Conway... tho I'm sure Reyna is going to get protected, while not terrible, we need to ask him to take a pay break.

Hopefully MLS does away with the expansion draft and it's not an issue.

couldn't agree more here... Vide just doesn't have the skill... he's got the heart but like you said he's all over the place and is a horrific distributer of the ball...i'm sure w/ experience he'll become better.. but i don't think he'll ever be great. I'd get rid of Freeman... he just hasn't been impressive... i'd keep Mendes over that entire defense

Soory, but I don't understand this thread. Why are we worried about protecting anyone? Unless we have someone to replace our guys cheaper and better it seems there is no reason to do anything as I see it. Is there an expansion draft coming up that i missed?

Presumably there will be for San Jose.

The only thing I see is Yallup going to San Jose after he gets fired from the Gals. Whoever he gets --the unprotected flotsam -- he'll coach them into a wining team, far enough away from Hollywood, Beckham, and Lalas to build something credible.

I'll definetly protect Parke, JPA, Altidore, Stammler, Conway, Mendes, Kovalenko

    Get rid of Reyna

On the other hand, I would love to see Wynn and Dunivant back.

I agree on that. Those were dumb trades for whatever reason. I blame Bruce for that, but to call for his head this early is insane. He needs to stay with us. The guy knows the american system. He is unreplaceble. Even if they bring in a new coach someday, Bruce must stay and run the other youth teams for RBNY

Realistically, yes; I want to see what he does with the team in the off season.

 Be serious! NOBODY is irreplaceable.

As if his ego would ever allow that; dream on.

We should feel blessed to have Bruce Arena as our head coach and director of operations. He's taken a team with no permanent training ground who are stuck playing on a poorly maintained plastic pitch thus resulting in frequent injury and he's moulded them into contenders. Has he made some mistakes? Sure, but who doesn't. Bruce has made our team much better than it was last season and given time it will continue to get better for us.

After all, who do you think he could replace him with that would do a better job? Be realistic.

Instead of who we should protect, let's take the first step and show a sporting guesture to MLS and the Earthquakes by "offering" a "valued" DP...Reyna!...he-he-he, suckers!

I assume there is a reason no one(?) has mentioned protecting Richards? Protected as a Gen Adidas player? For me, your dollar for dollar best player.

for sure, there is no way a coach can look like he is really shining considering the circumstances surrounding this RB team
