It may be an off week for the players to catch some rest, but we fans still have a busy schedule ahead of us. Saturday DC @ FCD and next Thursday DC @ Chivas USA. So go out and find that FCD scarf and/or jersey that you may have traded for with the Inferno the last two years. And be sure to sacrifice a goat and spread it's blood around your doorway to please the Chivas soccer god. We need to DC to drop points in their two games in hand that they play this week, in order to keep our first place in the east and Supporter Shield hopes alive and well. RRREV IT UP
We have a game in a little over a week, so I don't really consider this an off week. We do owever get a few extra days before the Open Cup game which is nice.
The best result all around would honestly be ties. The three teams you mentioned are all arguably our main competition for the Shield.
So wouldn't the best result be wins? The most likely result may be tied but I would rather have the revs get 3 points and them none and both team just 1
I think he is saying that games that the revs aren't part of would ideally be ties. the games the Revs play...obviously, we want the revs to win.
If I recall correctly one of our rookies either Knighton or Cristman is getting married this weekend....
those are the games we as suppose to win but never show up for, I.E. colorado with players suspended.........Revs 1 Off-Week 3
Cristman is getting married on Saturday...wow that leaves no time for a honeymoon with the Open Cup on Tuesday.
Maybe everyone on the team assured him and his fiancee that there was no way the Revs would still be vying for the Open Cup by then
Congrats to Cristman. Let's hope a certain lack of energy on his part doesn't cost the Revs the game down in Connecticut. Being in exile here on the other coast [yup, there are worse exiles] I'll be going to the Sounders-Dallas game, and get a gander on who the Revs play next [please, Revs, finally take this cup seriously. At this point, before the Shalrie era fades away, let's win something, anything....pretty please?]. On paper Dallas is far stronger, and it's going to be fun to see what Edilson can do, but Seattle is a truly good team [Colorado being smashed was a blast, but more impressive was the way they just dominated the play against Preston North End a few weeks ago]. I predict an upset, 2-1 for the Sounders, and so the Revs come out here and after three years I've the chance to see them again!
It looks like there are a few of us out here in the pacific NW. We might need to get organized if, by some miracle, the revs play a final in Seattle.
