Re: Fire Sigi- Fire Sampson- Fire Yallop

At the end of the day- the person responsible for the long term success the team is the guy upstairs- Since Lalas began- have we ever had a winning record. He is burning through coaches and players and none of his combos seem to work.

I think the Galaxy is the biggest club in the MLS, and it deserves the best management possible. Lalas could be good, but he hasn't proven himself via his time at San Jose, NY or in LA. We should only have proven successes at the top.

I vote for a new approach. Long term success depends on it.

Yallop better get shown the door today.

Its been too long coming and needs to be done within the next three days. This guy is like stevie wonder in the louvre, he doesn't have a ****ing clue. There's 11 games left in our putrid season and I'm guessing that to make the playoffs we must win 10 of the last eleven.....wow.

What is the FO waiting for? Get rid of this chump and bring in someone that knows what they are doing already.

Oh ya and trade Donovan please, for someone who is effective.

That's right. Get rid of Donovan and Beckham, maybe Cannon and Randolph, because once those guys are gone the team is gonna look really...........wait a minute....!!!

I say build around Becks, Donovan, Xavier, Albright, and Cannon. Randolph is a keeper but maybe a good sub. Anyone else can go back to their second job.

I disagree - Trade Cannon for an established center back, and maybe a prospect.

Who would you want as GK? Cronin had a good game this year but he looked sluggish in another game, I don't remember who it was against though.

I realize Cannon has saved a lot of goals and that Galaxy defense is pretty non-existant, but I think a lot of the goals he has allowed, WERE his fault. He is so busy trying to cover the defense, half the time the net is wide open when a striker is moving the ball into scoring position.

Cronin would be fine. Doesn't really matter to me. Listen, if there is no defense in front of the goal, it's not gonna help if we have 2002-era Oliver Kahn in the goal. It's nice to see Cannon make two or three amazing saves in a game. But when he gets juked for 3 other goals because he insists on coming so far out to make up for the terrible defense? It's time to re-align our priorities.

Re: Yallop better get shown the door today.

Id like to see Zach Thorton on our team. But, realistically, I like your idea of getting another center back, and maybe play Cronin the rest of the season so he gains experience. If he proves worthy we keep him, if not, then go get Thorton.

The big prob is... who's gonna take Cannon? Most teams already have a good GK, some have people like Thorton on the bench, others cant make any more moves. It feels like we are stuck. We could always offload Cannon to SJ where he can team up with Landon and Frank next season.

Maybe Cannon is good for two solid players like Ihemelu and Gomez. Sadly, our FO thought he was such an upgrade to El gato that we traded away our future.

There are no "amazing" goal keepers in my book just solid ones. None of them are really gonna make that much of a difference if we upgrade in defense and midfield.

I think Yallop will be with us until immediately after the superliga final. No way we beat Pachuca twice, and this time they're in form.

Re: Fire Sigi- Fire Sampson- Fire Yallop

I'm not sure that handling high-profile players or the spotlight has been our problem. It's more like ball-handling and other basic skills.

I keep waiting for this team to gel, but they just seem to get worse. Becks can't carry a whole team by himself, especially when his pinpoint passing requires 3 touches and a quick look around by the receiver to figure out what to do next with the ball.

Re: Yallop better get shown the door today.

This FO would never trade Cannon to save their lives. This was a marquee move for Alexei, trading away our best two young players in Herc and Ugo for some guy who is questionable at best to say AS GOOD as Kevin Hartman.

Can't help but wonder if the season would have been as bad if we still have Kevin between the pipes, Ugo at the back, and Herc up front. Instead of Cannon, Roberts or Veris, and Gordon up front......eh what a mess

I can't agree with this. Donovan IS effective, and alot better than most teams have in MLS. If he goes back to SJ he'll be league MVP next season.

This is hilarious. Pachuca gets "in form" in a couple weeks and we cant do it in 6 months!!!

You go head and try to "stick it to us" hopefully this time you guys can draw more of a crowd than my nephews U8 games do, maybe then we can keep you around for another season or two before you fade into nonexistence again.

If a new coach was going to "blow up" the team, I can see a blockbuster trade with SJ involving Cannon, Donovan and Jazic. If Yallop does become the coach in SJ, you'd figure he'd be happy to build around those three. SJ could show LA the entire expansion list and give them their choice of 4 players (I'm sure one will be a very solid keeper) plus maybe the first round draft pick. LA could dump a massive amount of salary, pick up 4 solid players and a great developmental player. SJ starts off with some quality veterans.

Not likely, but LA can't overhaul the roster without a major dump in salary. That's how Frank Yallop was able to acquire Jeff Agoos in 01. DC United came off a poor season and needed to trade away some of their best (and highest paid) players to make room for more quality. With Yallop's connections and loyalty to Donovan, Cannon and Jazic, I could see something like that occurring (assuming he's fired in LA and re-hired in SJ).

You Heard It Here 1st: Yallop Out, Klinsmann In

I just listened to ESPN DEPORTES RADIO (SPANISH) KWKW 1330 and they said that Yallop will not be coaching the LAG vs Real Salt Lake or beyond that. Klinsmann will be taking over at that point and the LAG FO is just working on some minor details in his contract and should be coaching the team vs Real Salt Lake. I would love to provide an additional source to this to back it up but I only found this

Ex-Spurs star Klinsmann to join Beckham's LA Galaxy
