I think its funny that a lot of the suggestions have destinations (selected by the author of the article) of LA, NY, Chicago, and San Jose. I know its only conjecture, but how many more DPs would have to be allowed for LA and/or NY to sign more DPs than they already have?

And before this thread gets moved, I would like to say that I especially agree with #10. That would be the best thing that could happen to USSF/MLS, to get a person of PLC's expertise and prestige to supervise referees.

This article shows that the author has very vague soccer knowledge.

Collina would do as much for the league as anyone else on that list.

Yeah, but you'd have to keep the paparazzi clear of the locker room whenever Hall would be in the building!

I've been posting on BigSoccer and ranting to others suggesting that MLS bring in Collina to run the referee office for years. I think it'd be a fabulous idea to have him on the pitch, but an even better idea to have him here trying to improve referee development.

I think the Veron to DC United talk can be put to rest. United made their last best pitch to Veron and he declined. Mostly because he wants to play for Estudiantes in the Copa Libertadores. Which is a very honorable thing for him to do in my opinion. It's a big deal for them to make it. And he should be there to see it through.

DC United needs a player that can help them win the CONCACAF Champions Cup next spring. (Assuming they qualify) The window on Veron has closed.

Wow...this guy gets paid for being in la-la land. Sign me up! Honestly though, Zidane is not coming out of retirement and Houston will not sign a 35 yr. old DP. I really like the Collina idea though!

Come on, Bootsy...you mean that Esse didn't do a good enough job for you?

He was going to save us all!

Show some respect to that fine, upstanding example of officials everywhere...
