Korea and Japan in '02, Bolivia made it to Copa America finals when they hosted Copa America. I'm Mexican but it doesn't mean I'm biased. I also recognize the Copa Confederaciones we won was in Mexico as well. I think the good teams are the ones who can win away from home. USA beat Poland in a friendly that wasn't even in Poland, woop de doo. Mexico had to play France and Holland in their countries. USA has won 4 gold cups and so has Mexico but Mexico actually won one in the US. You ask when's the last time we beat the US outside of Azteca, I say about 8 or 9 years. I ask you now when you've beat us in Mexico... That would be never. Anyway that's just to answer the people who are going to turn this thread into a hateful one. Let's try and not spew hatred in this thread...:)

The US NT should come and play us in Chorzow or Warsaw again, were probably gona need a few more friendlies. We just played Russia in Moscow, tied there and were getting ready to play our next 2 away games in Portugal and Finland.

We got a decent coach Leo Beenhakker i don't think we will be eliminated from the Euro 2008 qualifiers, we should finish strong. Maybe we can play the US in 2008 leading up to Euro Championships, around that time all were going to be doing is playing friendlies and preparing for the Turnament.

Leo Beenhakker is more than just a decent coach... He did wonders for my favorite club in Mexico and he achieved the impossible with Trinidad by qualifying to a WC and actually earning a point. Poland will be fine;)

The US defeated Poland 1-0 in Kaiserslautern on a goal by Clint Dempsey on the eve of the World Cup in 2006.

Poland I believe had also lost to Colombia before the World Cup... and then well, they didn't too good in the WC.

We had 3 games that we played prior to World Cup: they were all friendlies.
    USA
    Columbia
    Croatia

The one against Croatia is the only one that we won. We played against Ecuador about a year prior to WC and we beat them but we managed to loose to them during the world cup.

Were still in the process of rebuilding our team for the long term. Our main problem right now is not talent, it's basically infustructure and without it it will be very hard for us. A few good things to look up to are Euro 2012 we will build stadiums and infustructure for that event that will contribute a ton for our player and league development.

We will break through the top ten eventually, we have a great futbol history and our players deserve to get the recognition they deserve. Once the Euro infustructure is built it can only get better.

You lost to Colombia's b team in the 2005 Gold Cup...they cant be all that bad.

Why again to you guys come here? We're not playing you anytime soon...is this seriously the only way you can feel better about losing to us 3 straight times? Making useless excuses to try and convince yourselves that you're better? Go back to your board until its time to lose to us again.

Why don't you research a little better next time? If it was true that Colombia did indeed have their B team, well we had our C team... except for Borgetti, becuz man we had just played the Confederations Cup in Germany or maybe you didn't think of that. We don't need to convince ourselves of anything. We showed that in Copa America this year and plenty of other times. The US Mens NT is a good team to reckon with and one of the best teams in the world at home but their performance in last year's world cup showed that they're not at the next level yet. They did great in '02 inlcuding beating Mexico, Portugal but Croatia did great in '98 and so did Turkey and Korea in '02 but that doesn't mean they're great becuz they showed no consistency just like the USA. Good in '94, terrible in '98, great in '02, horrible in '06. Maybe 2010 is your year:) and I wouldn't be surprised if the local team South Africa does good as well.

When it comes to USA and Mexico I think we're pretty even I can hear everyone here asking "How can that be, we've owned you the last few years and even beat you in a WC match?" Well it's true, when it comes to head-to-head games the USA is better than Mexico LATELY. But internationally, Mexico has accomplished much more LATELY and Historically. Just like Mexico is better than Brazil, head-to-head LATELY. Still we know we're overall not a better team. Then I can hear people here saying "Well, Brazil has won 5 WC's. How many has Mexico won in comparison to the USA"? That's why I say Mexico and the USA are pretty even and Mexico isn't better than the USA unlike Brazil is better than Mexico. Futbol has a lot to do with matchups but not just that but your track record overall. (Phew) ;)

O yea no doubt that our group was weaker but I disagree with you about the USA advancing in our group. We can't get into hypotheticals here and there's NO way of know what coulda, shoulda, woulda happened. Also, I think Mexico left the WC with dignity with the way they lost proving that they didn't just get through becuz it was easy. By the way, we were the head of the group during the sorting just like Brazil and other countries. This goes back to my last post about Mexico having more success internationally than the USA and FIFA recognized that. :)

Recently our 19 year old striker David Janczyk was sold to PFC CSKA MOSKVA
for 4.2 million euros. Atletico Madrid wanted him as well but it seems the russian club was desperate to acquire the young striker so they ended up paying more.

He's going to be our star in the future, he will play for us in the 2010 World Cup and help us during the 2008 Euro turnament if we qualify.

Here's a vid of him scoring goals.

Wasn't this the game where the goalkeeper scored some crazy goal for Colombia from his own half or something like that?
