I know this has been covered in a general thread (https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=554020&highlight=hdnet+highlights), but does anyone have the highlights for this HDNET broadcast recorded? They're not up on MLSnet.com, and I don't get any cable or satellite channels so I can't just tune into Fox or ESPN. From what it sounds like, Blanco's direct kick might be up for Goal of the Week again but I don't want to wait to see it. Anyone putting this up on youtube (please)?
It's my understanding that when the match is an "HDnet Exclusive" there will be no highlights released on MLSnet.com or any other network. I think this is wrong. The MLS screwed up when they did that. Perhaps their lawyers didn't read the contract. There was no highlight on Republica Deportiva this morning either of the Blanco goal. And that - you know - is one place where you'd expect to see it. I looked on HD.net to see if there were streaming highlights there - nada. I feel your pain, Modibo.
All we can hope for is someone with a DVR getting it up on YouTube at this point, but I'm not holding my breath.
*Sigh* Yeah, that's what I thought. I agree with you quarterUltra - the MLS really blew it on that exclusive deal with HDNET. How're they going to promote the product like this?
Actually when I got home last night from the game I flipped on Comcast Sportsnet for fun 'hoping' they'd MAYBE show at least one of the goals on their late night sports show. They showed both goals believe it or not. It's unfortunate that I didn't mash the record button.
You can find highlights on ESPN Deportes: http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/section?id=fut&lpos=globalnav&lid=gn_dep_FUT_FUT On the right side of the page you can scroll threw the flash players videos and you will find the highlights for this game. Blanco's goal was pretty sweet.
That free kick goal was better than I thought, I hope mlsnet.com get the highlight from ESPNdeportes because as of right now that's the goal of the week.
AWESOME! Thank you!! Yeah, that goal was incredible - the dip he achieved was phenomenal. I know Beckham's known for bending, but that strike was world class. Wish I could have seen the whole game!
