since last year the shield now guarantees a spot in the CONCACAF Champion's Cup. Whoever wins it represents MLS. Of the 5 realistic winners who would you prefer wins it and represents MLS (for the image of the league)?

Where are NY and KC?

Where are RSL and LA? ;)

Of the teams available, I'd enjoy seeing DC or Houston take the shield. Dallas would play in front of the Inferno and 19,500 red seats, Chivas would play in front of Legion 1908 and 25,500 green seats, and New England would play in Bermuda (I don't know what color the seats are there).

I know Houston and DC fans will be there next February (and hopefully March and April).

There are plenty of threads of that topic. Please keep this thread from becoming another one of them. Thank you for your cooperation.

Based on current form, trends, injuries and their scheduled opponents down the stretch I do not believe NY or KC has a *realistic* chance at winning the supporters shield. I think most NY and KC fans would agree with that. If not, tell me why they have a chance?

    derby u.k.
I voted Revs out of pure selfishness. I know Foxboro isn't likely to be a great place to play in Feb, but if the Revs do play in the CCC I hope they pick a stadium on the mainland. How about Charleston? A good little stadium and the fans would likely come out to see the game.

I voted DC United, obviously, but I think Houston was fantastic in this years CCC. Either of those teams would be great.

I presume that Chivas USA and Dallas would take the tournament seriously, as well. CUSA because of the possibility of playing their big daddy or another marque Mexican team. Dallas because of Toja! Toja! Toja! New England, on the other hand, would be a poor choice because of weather and past history in the CCC.

    So, yeah...

    1. DC United
    2. Houston Dynamo
    3. Chivas USA & FC Dallas
    5. New England

Houston Dynamo because IMO they're the best team in MLS.

Dynamo if they drop Ngwenya and Jacqua, and play Holden more.

Holden's injured, Ngwenya is good, and Jaqua is spelled without a "c".

You gotta give respect to New England's play this year.

BUT, DC is playing on fire and they may end up getting the SS.

The way they are playing is amazing.

Peaking at the right or wrong time?

Obviously I want DC United to win the Shield. But if they don't win it, I would like to see ANYONE but New England. Because the people running that club have demonstrated that they don't give a damn about International competition. They simply don't get it. They don't understand that International tournaments are where MLS can earn the respect necessary to grow the league.

Personally, I think it would be a pretty cool story to see Chivas USA in the Champion's Cup. You can bet your a$$ that Vergara and Que would take it seriously.
