I can't speak for my friends who support Chivas Guad, but I sure hope so.... how about all the other soccer fans out there? An MLS title should be worth a couple thousand season tickets sold for 2008. Just making it to the final will bring in new fans next year. As for this season, a nice little run that gets us past the Texas teams should start filling more seats. And we will get to the final in DC.... start looking at travel deals!
not only will Guad fans show up but quite a few Galaxy fans who are tired of crap soccer and paying twice as much as Chivas fans for tickets will jump on board. Is the final in DC or Colorado. I though it was in Colorado this year
Thanks for the welcome. I get the feeling you guys are going to be in the final that's why I ask. I am no fan of Chivas as your big brother booted us out of the Champions Cup and we play them again in the Copa Sudamericana. But as a DC United fan I hate LA Galaxy more than CD Chivas USA and in that we have something in common. I also have a friend who is a CD Chivas USA fan on here who I talk MLS with a lot. PS: I will root for Pachuca in the SuperLiga final. It would be funny if Legion and St Pats showed up in Chivas colors to do the same.
Not yet, give it a lil' time sista'...we'll be here when you decide to convert. Why the hate? I understand not supporting a club but hating... Go Galindo, Go Panchito, Guzan, Jesse, Sacha, Suarez, GO GOATS, win her over!!!
Jade was once a "to the death" Revs fan, but betrayed us for DC United like Benedict Arnold's wife skipped Philadelphia for London. . So, we know what she is, and I've no doubt that with the proper inducements you can get her to prove her loyalty to her black clad current heartthrob is as "deep" as was hers for the Revs. That said, once you had her it would be just a matter of time before the Beckhamites get clicking and you'd find her leaving you, lost and Jaded, for a pretty English Boy. Chivas, if I was born to LA, I've no doubt you would be my choice over the Galaxy [it would not even be a close call], so good luck against 'em and best wishes on a Cup run....But if you do meet us at RFK, you just know the fire pouring from our Minutemen muskets will astonish even the Eurosnobs
It's tough to win over fans that have already written them off, and I doubt they still follow the team after 05. We should just focus on winning over new fans.
I don't live in the LA or in California, I'm here in New York State and I'm a new supporter of Chivas USA... It would be nice to see more people supporting that team out west, and this team has a solid chance at making the MLS Cup this year.
I know some people might not agree with me but i really do think the fans that showed up the first year will come back if Chivas goes to the CUP. The fans that came the first year were expecting to see the same type of soccer as Chivas plays in Mexico and were disapointed when it didnt happen. Chiva fans want to see Chivas win be it Chivas USA or Chivas and if they do go to the MLS Cup im confident they will come and if we win it, Chivas USA will be the most popular team in LA and the US.
