I think so. I ended up looking like Martin Palermo, though.

Man, It Is (i Think) A Step Back For Nery To Go To Shakhter Donetsk To Play. For All That He Should've Stayed In Greece And He Probably Would've Only Played One More Year And Left To A Bigger Club. Now He Might Have To Wait More Than A Year Before He Can Go The Spain(i Hope).money Talks So You Really Can't Blame Him I Guess. Hopefully He Plays His Ass Off So He Does Not Have To Play For A Long Time.

Castillo didn't play, he actually wasn't even listed as a sub. Shakhtar won 2-1. For the record, he is wearing the #9. I assume they'll break him in for the CL qualifier or the next league match.

Everyone is saying that this is a bad move for him. I actually think its a win-draw situation if not a win-win. The Ukrainian league is only a half-step below the Greek league, but has put many good players at important clubs at top leagues. As Levante said, this is basically a lateral move, but with better pay. Mexico doesn't have any important matches for awhile so he still has almost two years to try to get to a big team in a top league before Mexico begins serious qualification for 2010. Our young guys should play the early phase of qualifiers against the ************ Caribbean teams. Those are the teams that Borgetti scored most of his goals against. We can gradually phase in our best players so that by the time the Hexagonal begins, everyone will have gelled but no one should be overworked. I'm sure by then, Castillo will have done enough to impress the big teams and there will be plenty of offers. I think people should stop worrying.

I can understand your particular dislike of him. But the others here don't have much reason to be disappointed or laugh. Put yourself in his shoes. He's making 2 million euros a year plus 5 million on the transfer. That's a no brainer.
