Been out of college for over a year (May 2006), started an entry level environmental scientist position in November and was making $30K a year. Same job, but with a new employer in March, where I am now making $36K a year.

I'm a sharecropper, so I get paid in potatoes and elk 3 times a year.

It seems a little out of context to state income without knowing the cost of living where people live. Our income is comfortable for Utah but would have us feeling miserable in Silicon Valley or Manhattan.

In the words of Jesse Helms, more than I need but less than I want.

Granted, he was talking about guns not money, but I think the point is valid.

I actually had a friend with exactly a one million dollar salary.

I say "had" because it turns out he was poking teenaged boys and a couple of them decided to blow his head off one morning.

When I look at my company's sales this year so far, I think my income will end up being negative. Oh well, at least I should get something back from the IRS.
